Probably sounds corny, but I have to say last Thursday, December 20th was one heck of a day! What better way to start it off than a big breakfast with friends and coworkers. We essentially took over the Hudson, a great little restaurant and bar in the SoDo district of Seattle on E Marginal Way. SoDo is south of downtown Seattle in the heart of the industrial area near SAFECO Field where the Mariners play baseball and CenturyLink Field where the SeaHawks play football and the Sounders play soccer. We had a lot of laughs with Sales Manager, Dan Tift. Our gag gift for him this year (about 20 of us), was reading glasses. Dan’s a great sport and we shared a lot of fun stories and conversation. Then off to the Providence Regina House for the afternoon. The Regina House is just a mile or so fr...

I’m looking forward to this Thursday. I’ll be headed down to the Regina House in South Park. We’ll be helping out any we can for the day distributing food and clothes. The Regina House is operated by Providence and has a weekly food and clothing bank. Anyone who comes through their doors will be served, no matter where they live in the greater Seattle area. This Thursday is special, they'll be giving out food for the holidays including turkeys and hams, pumpkin pies, fresh vegetables, canned goods, and toys from Santa for the little ones. I was impressed with the area businesses who generously donated last year. Paige Collins, Manager, Robert Fix, Coordinator, and Javier Pina, Food Coordinator, do the real work of it all year long. A hearty warm thanks to you three and your volunteers f...

I had a wonderful day yesterday, December 22, 2011. Our sales team at First American Title volunteered to help out at the Providence Regina House located in Seattle's South Park Neighborhood. Among its many services the Regina House operates a food and clothing bank. During the months of November and December the Regina House sponsors a holiday program that distributes baskets of food, clothing, and toys to families in need. Providence Regina House partners with several area community organizations on a wide range of topics including health and nutrition, cooking, seeds and plant starts, food stamp education, and they have a local garden. It was a record day...210 families went home with food for the holidays. I was so moved to see so many turkeys and chickens, fresh vegetables and fru...
