On Saturday after my open house I stopped at the store to pick up my sign and do some shopping.  The open house had lots of folks stopping by to see what the Pullman Real Estate Market had to offer.  As I went into Dissmores, I met one of the nicest ladies named Lori Ammons who was  promoting the Whitman County Humanity Society were at Dissmore's reminding folks that they have some wonderful pets up for adoption. I told them that I would be happy to blog about the upcoming softball tournament and the Third Annual Mutt Strutt.  Yesterday I got this email from her with permission to pass along.  I would encourage you to do all that you can to help our four legged friends.  As the proud owner of 2 dogs, as well as 2 previous kitties and a new addition to our kitty family that we rescued...

It is hard to believe it is May 19th already, with the Pullman Washington Spring Real Estate fully underway.  Maybe that is because we have had a rainy and cool spring, or maybe it is because I have been steadily busy early on this year.  Regardless I thought it might be a good time to stop and look at a few statistics. I thought today we would look at Single Family Homes here in Pullman.  Currently we have 87 homes on the market ranging from 104,900 to 639,000.  There are 29 homes on the market under 200,000.  Another 35 homes in the 200,000 -  300,000.   That is a great selection of affordable homes to choose from!  We also have 10 in the 300,000 - 400,000 price point and another 13 in the 400,000 and up range. We have Sold 20 homes since the first of the year.  Prices range from 157,...

Another thing to love about Pullman, WA.  Eating out around town to benefit the Pullman School District.  And this is the week you can ask around town, "What Are You Having For Dinner Tonight"? From May 16th to May 20th, the community is in the midst of Dine Out For Schools Week.  There are a number of restaurants in our town,  eleven to be exact, that have joined in donating 10% of their proceeds this week to the Pullman Education Foundation.  All you have to do is mention the Foundation, and the funds will be given to this great organization. The best of all is that the community and the schools benefit greatly!  These donations will help fund school libraries, teacher grants and the popular Fifth Grade Camp, just to name a few.  What a wonderful community event and what a wonderful w...

Often as a Realtor in Pullman Washington, I don't have the opportunity to be at my sellers or buyers moving day.  I am typically either showing homes, meeting with clients at the office, or maybe sitting at an Open House as I am today.  But this morning was different.  You see, my neighbors has asked me to list their home earlier this year.  Now that we have it Sold, today is their moving day and their friends came to lend a helping hand loading the truck.   It has been a long time since I have moved, but I know it sure is hard work.  So I thought I would do something I really don't ordinarily get to do.  I ordered some Pizza's and Pop to be delivered. It sure was fun.  I know I was calling the Pizza place here in Pullman pretty early on a Saturday morning, but to my surprise Justin at ...

One of the things I love about living in Pullman is the neighborhoods.  There are four basic hills in Pullman, Military Hill, Sunnyside Hill, College Hill and Pioneer Hill.  Today was a beautiful day.  I have been so busy in the real estate market lately, like most Realtors, my own home suffers a bit. And like many of my neighbors I was working outside, trying to get the garden into shape.  My daffodils and ground covers are in full bloom, and I hadn't even begun to clean up the leftover debris from winter. But with the sun shinning and the contracts from last week settled, and a few spare hours I thought I would hit the beds and get done what I could!  The first stop was Henry's Ace to pick up a few perennials and pansies.  After all, a girl has got to have some rewards, right? I found...

If you are thinking of selling your Pullman Washington Home, now is the time to get out there and spruce up the yard and get some color in around that front walk or doorway!   The weather here in Pullman has been a bit colder and rainy compared to years past.  So a lot of folks are having a yard time getting the yard in shape.  I am no exception.  Every time I have some time to get out there it is raining.  And when it is pretty, I always seem to be working.  Such is the life of a Realtor!  Our houses always seem to suffer a bit! But if you are considering selling you really want to have the yard looking tip top as soon as you can!  The grass is very green now and could probably benefit from a cutting to give it a nice even look.  Don't forget to clean out debris around the flower beds....

It's April on the Palouse!  I love this time of year in Pullman, WA.  Time for the flowers to begin to bloom, time to begin to wear lighter jackets for the cool weather and rain and time for the Sun to shine more often than not.  You can imagine my surprise this afternoon, as I was in the midst of a Snow Blizzard.  Absolutely crazy!  The snowflakes were about an inch in size and the skies were very gray.  It was like a Winter afternoon on this April Afternoon!  I stepped out on the deck and took a couple of pictures of our backyard.  I had to giggle as I took the pictue and said, "You win Mother Nature".  It's been about fifteen minutes...now look!  The Sun is brightly shining!  This is Spring on the Palouse!

If you are selling your home in Pullman, or anywhere for that matter, here are a few very basic tips. 1.  Make your home available!  I know it isn't easy to have your home on the real estate market.  In fact, it is downright inconvenient.  Buyers have their own schedules too.  Do try to accommodate showings.  If you don't show it, you won't sell it. 2.  Keep the lights on for showings!   Not only does it make your home bright but welcoming.  Ever struggle around in the dark to find a light switch?  It makes the showing so much smoother and helps us to appreciate the flow of the home. 3.  Keep it clean!  The clean home is so much more welcoming.  And nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the smell of clean.  Do keep your cleaning products smelling fresh, not over powering. 4.  Keep a lid of...

This last week or so, I have been showing a lot of homes in Pullman.  The real estate market seems to be in full swing.  That is,of course, great news for our sellers here in Pullman.!  My buyers typically are armed with lots of information. They typically contact me prior to scheduling showings. We talk about what they are looking for such as bedrooms, baths, location and other needs versus wants.  Then I send them lots of listings to look through.  They typically give me about 6-8 listings that they would really like to see.  That usually gives me a sense of what they are looking for, and certainly after walking through a few homes, that helps even more.  Often then, I might suggest a few they might want to see.  Then we set the times and we are off for looking at homes!   I thought i...

It seems like things are really hopping this past week in the Pullman Real Estate Market.  I know that I have had several showings this past week with several different buyers.  They are all at different stages in the process.  Some are now already in contract.  Some are really close to making the decision on which house they want.  Others are a bit further off.  But regardless of the stage, they are all well on their way to buying a new Pullman home.   I really enjoy helping them begin the step by step process to purchase their new home. I think one of the reasons that I enjoy representing buyers in Pullman is that they are often settling into our community. I often find myself working with folks relocating to Pullman Washington.   After their big move, I love seeing them over town, ma...

Beasley Realty Home Sweet Home Workshop is getting closer and closer! And I am personally excited to have BCL electric as one of the sponsors.   You see, Kevin Ess is one of my home buyers from last year, and he will be the educational  spokesman for BCL electric at the workshop!  I look forward to seeing Kevin as well as learning about the information he has to share with us. I am sure he will have lots of tips for us all.  His topic is "Your Home & Electricity - What Every Homeowner Needs to Know."  As a homeowner in Pullman myself, I am sure he will teach me lots too! BCL Electric is a residential, commercial and industrial electric contracting company that has been serving the Palouse for over 32 years!  That is impressive!   They are located at 206 West Morton Street in Moscow...

One of things that I love about being a real estate agent in Pullman is the people.  Sure I love houses.  I love looking at homes for sale in Pullman.  I love helping clients get their homes ready for market, and I love marketing my homes.  And I love showing homes to buyers as well.  But I also love working with people.  I guess that is because by nature I am a "people person."   Today I worked from home, getting caught up on some paperwork, emails and solving a few problems for a couple of clients.  Tonight at six I will be showing.  This afternoon I am watching my little Grandaughter.  I have decided that she too is a people person. She loves being "with you."  She loves sitting on my lap and "helping me."   The other night she "helped me" write a counter offer.  Today, she is "...

I would like to wish my new Pullman home owner congratulations!  On Monday we closed on her new condo and we went out to celebrate together.  It has been a wonderful journey, both getting to know her and finding her a home.  I first met her at an open house here in Pullman about 3 years ago.  At the time she wasn't ready to buy.  But with careful planning, she achieved her goal of owning her first home.   As we began our celebration, she pulled out three items and placed them on the table.  One was a fortune.  I can't remember the exact wording, but the gist of it was that the plans she was about to undertake would result in success.  She told me she had opened that fortune cookie the day we went to look at her new home.  She also told me that she had carried two milagro in her pocket o...

Showing Off Your Pullman WA Home! The time for those buyers looking for a new home in Pullman is here!  With the snow all melted and the longer days upon us, you want to put your best foot forward for the buyer.  The subject of this blog is to provide a quick checklist of things you should do before that all important showing. 1. Welcome!  Make sure your front door is free of debris, clean and welcoming.  Primroses are out and would provide a nice splash of color after a long winter here in Pullman.       2.  Turn The Lights On!   It costs so little to turn on the lights, but so many just don't do it.  I don't know about you, but I have gone into a lot of homes that the lights are turned off.  I get a sense of feeling uncomfortable...maybe your buyer does to.  Not to mention the gloomy ...

Buying a home in Pullman Washington, or anywhere for that matter, is not always the easiest of tasks.  I say that not only as a home owner myself, but as a Realtor® who helps ease the process of buying and selling real estate for my seller and buyer clients...     Call me crazy (I know I asked for it right?!) but that is one of the things I do love about my business.  There is always the next challenge and for someone like myself that loves challenges, it keeps me from getting stagnate.   Every real estate transaction is a bit different.  Sure some transactions are similar, but because different individuals are involved with differing personalities and circumstances, and because very rarely do we find two properties that are exactly a like, very rarely are two transactions the same. ...
