Well, the insanity of the VA appraisal process rears it's ugly head yet again! I swear, one has to be either bi-polar or severely schizophrenic in order to survive in this business! I have a perfectly good transaction in process. A motivated Seller and an equally motivated Buyer. Both want to close before Christmas. Both parties have done an amazing job up to this point navigating towards what we all hoped would be a successful closing, and onto the next adventure in their lives. Enter the VA appraiser. According to the lender, we didn't come in at value. Not that we would know for sure, mind you. We aren't allowed access to actually 'see' the report.
