Tri Cities Washington package properties are part of a new trend to market the potential features of the home or commercial premises alongside property display. Last week, Colleen was called for an interview on the current state of the housing market for our local KEPRTV news channel. I don’t know if 1 minute of TV exposure qualifies for 'celebrity' status, but at our house I learned that we can scrub a house spotless in less than 15 minutes notice and only a celebrity could motivate our three pretty girls and two handsome boys to do that. We were given 15 minutes notice the reporter was on the way! Colleen admitted to me that she was very nervous, although on the outside she was as calm and composed as ever—an amazing feat considering that the last time she was on TV was 24 years ago, on the game show, “Let’s Make a Deal”. While only one minute was used on TV, the whole interview lasted more than 30 minutes as Colleen answered all the question...

Tri-Cities Airport is an air field terminal that is located at an approximate distance of 3 km from the north west of Washington’s Pasco region. This air field in Franklin County, Washington is also USA’s third largest as far as commercial airports go. The majestic lay out highlights three runways and hence the name. The Tri City Airport was actually part of the training ground for the United States Navy. This training field was used extensively during World War II and today serves commercial purposes as well as to the consumer. The sale of the air filed by the US Navy to the city of Pasco enabled the city to be internationally recognized. The airport terminal is located at the end of the air field, to the south. It is being currently used for commercial flights in and out of Washington...

Credit crises, mortgage scandals and home prices falling like a rock...in some places. Yet Pasco and the Tri-Citites continue to avoid the worst. Mortgage money is still available locally—though you do need a reasonable credit score to get it. Homes are still selling locally—though for slightly less money and in a slightly longer time. Just under 3,000 homes sold in the Tri-Cities last year, at an average price $1400 lower than the year before—about a one percent drop from 2007 to 2008. Tri-City Association of Realtors President Glen Clark says the disparity between national media coverage and local experience is because, “all real estate markets are local. We get some effect from national news, but the local marketis holding up well.” The Tri-Cities appears to be dodging a bullet in te...

Real estate deals are a complete package that includes pricing, terms, and agreements. Real estate deals occur within a zone of negotiation. The top portion of the zone is defined by the price and terms a buyer is willing to pay for the property. The bottom portion of the zone is defined by the least attractive price and terms the seller refuses to accept. However the zone of negotiation isn't just about prices. Sale packages include both pricing and terms, and the ability to change both is important to successful bargaining. The deal is in the details that are found in the basic real estate agreement-a formal document typically distinguished by tiny tape and convoluted language. An unsigned form is merely a piece of paper. In real estate to have an official contract, there must be an o...

Being a homeowner comes with many different responsibilities. To name one, it is important that you understand the ownership of property. Why? It is mainly concerned with the inheritance of your property when we pass away. Apart from this, it has much to do with how it would affect the bills you pay and real estate taxes you will need to manage. There are only three ways to one can own a property. It could either be in your name, joint names, or by contract rights. A Property or properties named under a sole owner, in time of death, is needed to be probated. Meaning, it is important that you have a pre-written will to whom you wish to give your property to. Otherwise, a probate judge will decided to whom the property will be assigned. Usually, these will be transferred to the names of r...

Town homes are single family units, usually more than two, built right next to each other where they share 1 or 2 common walls with other units.  On the other hand, duplexes are two residential or commercial units which share a common wall. The difference between town homes and duplexes is that duplexes are designed in such a way that it appears to be a single unit. Because of this, duplexes are much versatile when in comes to architectural design. Commonly, a duplex has a single owner, where he or she could have either one or both units rented out. The owner may occupy one side of the duplex while having the other side rented out to another family. It is considered a commercial property when both units are rented out. Duplexes are quite beneficial when trying to maximize the use of lan...

When purchasing real estate that you plan to live in, it is important to consider the way that real estate makes you feel. But to be a good investor, you must focus on the numbers and only purchase real estate that will make you money. One way you might invest in real estate is to purchase it for the purpose of renting it out to tenants. Purchasing and renting out real estate this way can be a great way to build equity. Done well, it can also produce a monthly income. Done poorly, it can cost you a lot of money. The difference between success and failure is often just a matter of running the numbers to produce realistic expectations on the costs and benefits before purchasing real estate. When evaluating a purchase, you need to look at a combination of both the property and the loan ter...
