Sales Prices are up. Number of home sales is up. Inventory numbers have improved.  Between the buyer activity and the fewer listings on the market, this has pushed North Olympia into a strong seller's market. The Olympia Farmer’s Market is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon and support local Olympia vendors and artisans. There is a formidable statue you will see as you head down the main driveway toward the Capitol. It is titled Winged Victory. It is a World War I monument, depicting the Goddess of War standing watch behind a sailor, marine, soldier and nurse. Singing Trees and Sweet Holiday Housing Options in Olympia WA Downtown Olympia was overflowing with holiday cheer this afternoon. The Olympia Downtown Association officially welcomed the holiday season with its Downtown for the Holidays celebration. Horse drawn wagon rides and photo-ops with Santa set the tone for the day and put everyone in the holiday spirit. Around 3:00 people began hustling to stake out their spot along Capitol Way to watch the Holiday Parade. After the Capital High marching band completed its turn in front of Sylvester Park, the crowds scattered and made their way inside to escape the cold. The City of Olympia Arts Commission, Dept. of Parks, Arts & Recreation along with local business sponsors invite you out to the 16th Annual Arts Walk this Friday, October 2, 2009. Over 100 participating businesses in Downtown Olympia open their doors to help visual and performing artists showcase their talents. The spring version of this event is a huge hit, with the famed Procession of the Species stealing much of the spotlight.
