Last week (August 2, 2007) the City of Milton, Washington announced they have awarded the survey contract to begin construction on the Milton leg of the Interurban Trail that will (eventually) link Tacoma to Seattle via paved pathways. The trail will run from Fife, Washington to just shy of Enchanted Parkway, all total, about three miles in length.  Construction should be completed by summers end! 08/16/2007

The City of Milton will celebrate it's 100th birthday Aug 17-18.  Friday August 17th Events:5-10 pm Concert freaturing "The Great Pretenders" and fireworks.  Food and drink vendors will be there too.Saturday August 18th Events: Annual parade from Discovery Primary to Triangle Park, Arts and Craft Fair, Chalk Art contest, Picnic lunch consisting of Hamburgers (hot dogs for the kids).  Concert starting at noon with the Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band, Dalton James and Adams DJ.  Pie eating contest and an antique car show.  Also available is a trout fishing pond, inflateable toys and a climbing wall. 08/09/2007
