New Lake Stevens homes are located throughout this rapidly growing city.  The past decade has seen the annexing of several hundred acres as well as rezoning of entire neighborhoods, resulting in numerous, new Lake Stevens homes. A large portion of these new Lake Stevens homes are built to the north of the lake, just below Highway 92.  This quiet, elegant neighborhood boasts waterfront property, tranquil cul-de-sacs, and charming homes.  Some of the houses in the area are 10 to 20 years old, providing time for landscape to mature beautifully and the neighborhood to develop its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.  New Lake Stevens homes in this area tend to sell from the mid-$400,000 range.  For this price, buyers not only get to be the first to live in one of area's many gorgeous home...

Lake Stevens WA Real Estate and homes for sale. Don't believe the media hype!We have all been seeing stories in the media about how slow the housing market has become, how the housing prices are dropping, and what a buyer's market it is.However, in our part of the country, most of this is not true.  The fact remains that while there are more homes on the market and they are taking slightly longer to sell, the market is not nearly as bad as the media would like you to believe.I personally believe what we are seeing is a NORMAL market for Lake Stevens real estate.  Lake Stevens area homes for sale aren't being snatched up in the first few days and they are not selling for more than the list price.I think many people (including the media) thought that our past HOT market in Lake Stevens wa...

Lake Stevens homes offer more than a person could ever need and everything they could want.  Surrounding beautiful Lake Stevens (after which the town is aptly named) and located directly east of bustling Everett, Lake Stevens homes allow residents to escape to beauty while still being within minutes of big city jobs and amenities.Though not recognized as a city until 1960, Lake Stevens was first settled in the late 1800's.  Thus, Lake Stevens homes range widely in age.  Charming Victorian classics can be found from the town's early history, while many Lake Stevens homes are under construction as this article is written.  Since the population has grown rapidly in the last decade, buyers have a plethora of choices when looking for new Lake Stevens homes.  (Note: While the population has t...

The Snohomish County market and Lake Stevens in particular has been experiencing brisk spring activity.  We have been short of inventory making for a long seller's market  Homes that are well priced and clean still attract multiple offers.  That might be changing as over the last 6 weeks we have seen increased inventory in relation to pending sales.  The pendulum is moving fast across the balanced market range into buyer's market territory.  We're not quite there yet but the toe is in the water!!Corrina Westermann www.iknowhomes.com
