Sheridan Beach Club Homes:  Sheridan Beach Community Club Boundaries, Beach Rights, More!  Lake Forest Park Beach Rights come in three forms currently:  access at the public dock deeded to the city in the 1990's, Lake Forest Park Civic Club Homes, or the Sheridan Beach Community Club Homes.  Each has its perks, but Lake Forest Park waterfront beach rights through either the Civic Club or the Community Club are very desirable. The Sheridan Beach Community Club is a shared waterfront beach club centered around life on the waters of Lake Washington as well as the on site pool open during the season (parts of May through parts of September)  (Swim Club). Sheridan Beach Club Homes also enjoy other great perks of membership - Besides the waterfront beach at the Sheridan Beach Community Club, ...

Lake Forest Park Real Estate: Market Update 2010 - Feb 2010 comments - The average price of homes in Lake Forest Park has dropped to the tune of roughly 20-25% since 2007.  This is surprising to me given the sheer volume of amenities that Lake Forest Park has to offer - the parks and shopping are wonderful.  The city is waterfront on the banks of Lake Washington, and there are wonderful waterfront facilities for all depending on what part of the city you live in (Civic Club if within boundaries, Sheridan Beach Community Club if you are in those boundaries, and then of course there is the city owned waterfront park which many won't tell you about (Lyon Creek Waterfront Park)...Lake Forest Park has a wonderful farmer's market and some great merchants.  I could go on with all the reasons t...

Tuesday evening, as part of the "Lighten the Load and Light Up the Future" project in Lake Forest Park, Piper Lauri Salogga of Natural Balance (Seattle), spoke to a group on "Peace and Vitality, Living Intentionally in Your Home." The lecture was supposed to go from 7 to 8:30, but at 9:30 participants were still eagerly questioning Piper, whose sparkling intensity won her instant fans.  At that moment, for everyone in the room, the most important thing was to understand how our arrangement and choices in our homes are affecting our moods, energy, ability to move forward in life, in fact. The school custodian, however, was begging us to leave so he could close up, and a last few eager questioners gathered around Piper in the dark chilly parking lot, unwilling to let her go. Explaining th...

Lake Forest Park Photo Enforcement Speed Cameras... You should never speed anyway, but anyone knows that there are two places you should know you will be caught speeding in:  Seattle Suburbs Brier WA and Lake Forest Park WA.  It is practically common knowledge for anyone living there or even driving through.  Well Lake Forest Park has come up with a great tool to make sure to keep would be speeders in check - cameras that video tape speeders in school zones. From the City of Lake Forest Park WA website - "Lake Forest Park launches photo enforcement program to reduce speed violations in school zones To increase pedestrian and vehicle safety in Lake Forest Park, the City is launching a new "photo enforcement program" aimed at reducing speed violations in school zones on NE 178th Street an...

Horizon View real estate in Lake Forest Park WA - this is a great neighborhood in the Seattle suburb of Lake Forest Park Washington!  Horizon View is the highest point in Lake Forest Park and because of that the homes here tend to have some great views!  The Horizon View neighborhood has views of Lake Washington, the Cascades, Mount Baker, Mount Rainier, and Seattle on a clear day. Sunday couldn't have been a more gorgeous day, so headed on over  to the LFP Farmer's Market after my workout at the LFP Gold's Gym this morning.  The sun was shining, the LFP Commons parking lot was packed full of people, and good, fresh, locally grown food was in abundance. I had the pleasure of meeting Eric Rivera with Sound Bites Sauce and Spread Co., and who also attends culinary school and runs a fantastic food blog at www.ericriveracooks.com Here he is ringing up my order of Cabernet Pepper Crackers and Lime Reisling Oil:     Holy Guacamole, you really have to try this stuff.  I can't wait to put some on a flank steak and throw in on the BBQ.  And be sure to check out his blog.  It has a plethora of fantastic recipes.            Here is a great pose by the obvious wallflower Step...

Lake Forest Park is a community on the Northeast end of Seattle.  While it is a separate city from Seattle, it's close enough to downtown to feel like just another neighborhood.  Just 3 square miles in area, much of Lake Forest Park is covered in towering fir trees.  It's bordered on the North by Kenmore, on the West by Shoreline, and on the South by Seattle. Lake Forest Park slopes down to the East as you head toward the waterfront.  Real estate prices are fairly moderate in the area, although the homes on Lake Washington quickly rise in price.  Homes on the waterfront are over $1 million, and quickly reach $2 million.  Lake Forest Park Waterfront Real Estate - Homes For Sale
