Cool off this Summer at the Camas Municpal Pool. Let's face it, we don't deal with the heat very well around here. When the thermometer starts climbing, the whining tends to increase too. We tend to forget those cold, winter days when we long for the warm, summer sun. In our defense, the 90's are warm for many folks - even those who live in in less temperate climates. Therefore, we're lucky to be able to cool off at the public swimming pool in Crown Park. This summer, Lacamas Swim and Sport is managing the lessons and the schedule. Speaking of lessons, this is the perfect time of year for out-of-school children to learn to swim, or perfect their swimming skills.  Beat the July Heat and head to Crown Park for a Swim. The July weather looks as if it's going to stay warm. Forecasters are c...

Crown Park Neighborhood in Camas, WA - A true jewel in the city. The Crown Park neighborhood in Camas Washington is filled with a collection of eclectic homes, most built between 1920 and 1965. You’ll see some great craftsman style renovations and classic ranch homes in carefully restored condition. Naturally, you’ll also spot a few still in need of work. Right now, there’s a 550 square foot 1920‘s bungalow, recently remodeled listed at $96,500. The most expensive on the Active sales list is one of my favorites, a 3272 square foot 2002-built craftsman. Priced at $439,900, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has plenty of old world charm, with the modern touches desired by today’s buyers. There are currently 8 homes for sale in our MLS system - 3 pending, and four recent sales (within the last thr...

Escalation Matters! The Art of Winning in Multiple Offer Situations Last week, one of my buyers wanted to see a brand new listing in a popular Camas, WA neighborhood. The home, located in Crown Park was priced right - in fact, right for multiple bids. When I called the owner to set up an appointment, she sighed " Oh my, I have one at 9:30, 11:00 and this afternoon at ---, I have a feeling this is only the beginning."  She was right. My buyers have been looking for investment opportunities for quite sometime, but recently got serious about their efforts. We set up an appointment for 10:30 AM, and the property fit the criteria. Great neighborhood, good condition, family-friendly and highly desirable as a rental. Naturally, we wrote up an offer immediately. I recommended using an Escalatio...
