The City of Bonney Lake, Pierce Stream Team ,Wal Mart, and the Lake Bonney Conservation Association are working together on a native planting at Ken Simmons Park on the west side of Lake Bonney. Volunteers are needed to help plant more then 200 trees and shrubs, spread mulch and do other planting task on Saturday March 1st from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Planting tools and light refreshments will be provided and volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather. The Bonney Lake Christmas tree lighting is scheduled fro 6-8pm on December 1st at the East Pierce Fire and Rescue headquarters station in the Public Safety building 18421 Old Buckley Highway.                                                                                     This event is free and is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Bonney Lake!  The festivies include holiday music by area school children, homemade cookies and hot apple cider. The Bonney Lake Mayor Neil Johnson will light the tree around 6:30 to signal the official start to the wonderful holiday season. The latest statistics I have are from Sept 2007.  Curently the Bonney Lake/Orting/Buckley area has 9.5 months of inventory on hand.  Homes are taking an average of 84 days on the market to sell as opposed to 64 days in Novemeber last year.  The average sold price is $293,000 as opposed to $292,000 last year.  As you can see prices are still holding mostly steady.  They are taking a little bit longer to sell and we have a lot more inventory/competition.  It is a great time for Buyers to buy.  There is a lot more negotiating power for a buyer right now.  If you are thinking of buying an investment home/rental now is the time! I would be happy to answer any questions or sit down and work out goals and a plan with you.  Give me a call or email.Karen Jackson, John L .
