You have probably not seen this red elephant in LakeLand Village located in Allyn Washington. He would be sure he would make quite the impression as he made his way through the welcoming tree lined streets.  I am certain he would love our 27 hole PGA level golf course. And I would be willing to bet he would have the most unique swing! I am certain all of the kids would love to have a ride and maybe even convince him to wade into Anderson Lake so that they could catch a bunch of the heavy trout that swim in the depths. The walkers in LakeLand Village would have a start as he came strolling through, but I am sure that they would still wave, friendly as ever. The deer would have their usual gaze and graze, and the birds would all enjoy the free ride.  Being a red Elephant has it's advantag...

Myself, as well as our office of citizen agents from Windermere Peninsula Properties have set out to the big Tacoma Home Show, to promote the standard of living that the Anderson Family has been working for generations to establish here in Lakeland Village.   Yesterday the Tacoma Home Show got underway, we are working very hard to promote our beautiful community for everything that it has to offer. From 27 holes of golf on a PGA rated golf course, to a private 40acre lake, this community has provided a safe, luxurious atmosphere for all residents to enjoy. LUCKY FOR OUR BUYERS, we have positions open immediately for new neighbors. Currently we offer turn key condominuims, brand new custom built homes, residential resale homes, or maybe you would like to come build your own dream home? W...

I was out and about the other day. I was in the Gig Harbor, Wa area and I came up the hill and saw the beautiful site of Mt. Rainier. On a clear day it is as though you could reach out and touch it. I think that if I had the option for views I might even take the mountain over the water. But that the great thing, you could have both if you lived in the area of the Pacific Northwest.

I know it is still the middle of winter, and I have the nerve to bring up Spring, But I see it happening all around me. I have had a very busy week and I see no sign of it letting up. I have Agents calling on the listings and Buyers calling to see houses too. We are writing offers and I can see that 2009 is going to be a very productive year. I can't wait to see what summer brings! How is the market in your neck of the woods? Are Buyers starting to beat down the doors where you are?

Okay so the title clicked you in. I could not help posting this picture after seeing a couple of really good ones yesterday from the Local Zoo. And you have to admit if there was not a huge hunk of glass between us, I would be in trouble! The cool part about this Aquarium is tha you can actually stay the night in the Shark exhibit. I think that would be totally cool, you can litterally "Sleep with the Sharks!"

I recently took my 13 year old Granddaughter to the Point Defiance Zoo. The Zoo is located in Tacoma, Washington about 30 minutes or so from my home in Allyn. As we were walking about I was intrigued with the with Reindeer exhibit. They are a lot bigger than you would expect. Of course they probably need to be with such a big job they to do at Christmas. Everyone is counting on them and without the Reindeer- Santa just doesn't  stand a chance of getting the job done. I know it's not Christmas and it is not a time to really be thinking about Reindeer but that does not mean that they just go away. They're busy preparing for next season. It will come just as it has every year before and now it is their time to get prepared, train and get it shape. So as we evaluate our New Year's Resoluti...

Living in the Northwest gives us ample opportunities to enjoy the still of the night. The stars seem brighter, our nights are quiet with the exception of an owls timing- resounding their curiosity through the bare branches and thicket of a forest on notice. The clouds hide the moon, only to filter the essence of light onto the still ponds reflecting their dreams. The fish swim, and the the water rushes away as they guard the resting fowl. It is night for all.

On Saturday January 24, 2009 a generous festive assemblage of  North Mason Community supporters of the Boys and Girls Club gathered in the early morning at the Allyn Waterfront Park for the 14th annual Polar Plunge.   Our own Active Rain Blogger and Real Estate Associate, Josh Murphy, came outfitted to brave the frigid waters of Puget Sound.   Josh "Windermere Man" Murphy.   Adorned in Windermere Blue tights, white boxer shorts, Windermere Blue Tee shirt, goggles and black bow tie and finished with a long white cape, Josh  "Windermere Man"  Murphy prepared to his place along the pebbly shoreline.   Josh"Windermere Man"Murphy, with the strength of mind of a veteran Plunger, ambled into the glacial waters with stoic demeanor.     Having completed his Community obligation and raising funds...

There are days when everything just seems to go my way. There are also days when I think that I must be having a makeup day for all of the really good ones, just to balance everything out. Those are not near as much fun. What ever the day, you have one obligation that supersedes any obstacle placed in your way...Giving it your all. It does not mean that you will meet with success every time, but you will eventually attain it.  No matter where you are or what you are doing your plans are sure to come to fruition if you take it one moment at a time and give that moment all you've got!

When the weather gets like it is currently, Sunny but just to cold, I can't help but start to plan my garden for the year. This year I am especially eager since my new home has lots of neat garden spaces, red rock paths and a large covered deck. My mind is spinning with all of the ideas. There is even a bridge with an arbor that goes accross a drainage area. Well lately I have seen primroses start to come out and I think that I must plant something. does anyone know if 28 degrees is too cold to plant them. The store is selling them so it must be OK right?

Have you been invited to a Lincoln day Dinner? If not there is still plenty of time to attend this special nation wide event. This year marks the 200th birthday of our 16th president who most consider the founder of the Republican party.  While good ol' Abe himself may not be able to attend, there are plenty of Birthday parties being held around the county to honor him that you will still be able to get tickets for. Mason County Republicans will be holding their annual dinner on February 28th at the Pavilion in Shelton. The menu will be offering a choice of succulent Prime Rib or Chicken Cordon Bleu. The speakers will include Buck Compton featured as a character from the HBO series Band of Brothers, also noted for prosecuting Sir han Sir han ( the man accused of shooting Robert F. Kenne...

I am so excited about what will happen in my town this weekend, I wanted to share it with you all! I was asked by my office to represent Windermere Peninsula Properties in the annual Polar Plunge held here in Allyn this weekend. Now what on earth could that mean? Jumping into the cold waters of Case Inlet? Your correct. Sound cold? What about now? The Polar Plunge is a very important event for our local Boys and Girls Club. Participants get pledged from the local residents and businesses to jump into the Case Inlet in Allyn Washington, and all proceeds go to benefit our Boys and Girls Club. Isn't that just great? I definitely am excited to be apart of this, I love being involved in our community here in Mason County. We have some very generous people in our area that are paying a lot of...

Life can be so busy these days. You grab your morning jolt of coffee, and scan the paper- then your off zipping through traffic and stalling and waiting for what ever the hold up is. You pause and go until you get there. Then it is work work work, catch up on life and off to lunch. Then finish out the day and back to the traffic, and home again to catchup on all that the little house in the concrete jungle needs.  Have you ever thought that it was time to get away from all of that, and take a quite less traveled road. Where everyone here knows you name, and they WANT to know how life is treating you. If you feel like a slower paced more beautiful life is calling to you, then you may want to visit Mason County. From the deep waters to the high mountains life is ready, and it is just too ...

Today was a very busy day for me. I had several meetings, and important issues I needed to follow up on. I barely hugged the kids this morning as I ran out the door. Sometimes life gets in the way of what really matters. This evening as I was rushing home to make dinner, and get the laundry in before heading out to yet another meeting, I was slowed down in the fog by unusual headlights. As I approached the scene with my husband we realized there had just been a terrible accident. If you were not already aware my husband is a fireman on a medic unit in our community, and he happened to be with me on his day off. We have been carpooling, it has been a great way to squeeze in extra time together. So Dan jumped out and went right to work, helping and securing the scene. I watched and listene...

Have you seen this man and woman?  Well we don't actually have a picture of them to show you because somewhere along the roads of LakeLand Village Allyn, WA  we dropped the pictures last Thursday and now they are lost.  I figured the internet is very powerful and what better way to get the word out and expand the search! So -If YOU HAVE SEEN THIS MAN AND WOMAN - give me a call (360-710-5622), drop me a line, or stop on by!  We are anxious to have them back and just know the community spirit that thrives in LakeLand Village will have many searching as they walk the friendly streets and neighborhood keeping an eye and ear out for the pictures. The pictures were of Ben Spaulding and Lillian Spaulding taken back in the 40's.  There were four pictures.  I know one of them was of the two of ...
