The 9th annual Race to the Top of Vermont will take place on Sunday, August 28th at 9 am. The event is open to runners, hikers and cyclists to climb Mt. Mansfield's 4.3 mile Toll Road Ski Trail with an approximate elevation gain of 2,500 feet.The event is hosted by the Catamount Trail Association and proceeds will benefit the Catamount Trail and Vermont Land Trust.  The Catamount Trail is a wonderful trail that spans 300 miles up the length of Vermont. Music in May concerts take place every Wednesday in May at noon at The Stowe Community Church on Main Street in Stowe.  This long standing tradition draws a nice crowd and is a great and relaxing way to enjoy spring in Stowe.  The concerts are free and last for one hour. Moss Glen Falls in Stowe, Vermont is a spectacular waterfall to visit. The Moss Glen Brook flows through a forest before the stream turns into a narrow confined gorge.  The stream goes over several cascades and small falls before dropping into a pool at the top of the last drop. The total drop of the waterfall is 125 feet which makes it one of the largest falls in Vermont.        The falls are accessed by a short flat trail with a steep roughly thirty foot climb at the end. You can also view the falls by walking up the stream from below.Here are a few photos to show just how beautiful Moss Glen Falls is! Stowe, Vermont - Condo Sales Market Report - 2007 through 2015     2015 seems to have been the year of the condo/townhome real estate market comeback!  Stowe, Vermont has many condo developments.  Many condos are owned by primary residences.  They can be a great solution for locals who prefer not to deal with chores such as mowing and plowing.  Most, however, tend to be purchased by vacation property buyers.  Condos can be the perfect solution for those folks that like to come and visit Stowe to ski/snowboard in the winter, or enjoy the Stowe Rec Path in the summer, or become a leaf peeper during our spectacular foliage.  Many also invest in condos to use occasionally and rent when not in use.     Here is a Chart showing Stowe, Vermont Condo Sales, Inventory and Sale Prices for the year... 01/10/2016

Stowe, Vermont Land Sales - Market Report - 2007 through 2015Stowe Vermont Land Sales were significantly down in 2015 when compared to 2014.       I have found that the demand for land to purchase is very much affected by the the single family market trends.  When homes are selling for less than "the normal", the demand for land purchases is reduced.  Also, the cost to carry land by the current owners it not nearly as high as home owners.  Land owners, for the most part, just have to keep up with property taxes.  Once the real estate market becomes more balanced, the demand for land to build one's dream home will pick back up again.  The new homes will incorparate the demand for higher energy efficient homes.     Here is a chart comparing the statistics of land sales in Stowe from 2007 ... 01/10/2016
