Many of my home buyers who are not from Northern Virginia, often ask me for information about this part of the State. Sometimes they have questions about shopping, traffic, schools, churches and then other times, they have questions about things to do!The fact is, I've said it before and I will say it again, in Northern Virginia we are blessed with so many opportunities. There is Washington D.C., the Atlantic Ocean off the shores of Maryland and so much more. One place that I would urge you to visit and to learn more about is Old Town Manassas.... There are Farmers Markets, an informative Visitor Center, Restaurants and of course many areas where you can simply take a walk! To learn more, I would urge you to Visit The Website Of Old Town Manassas.

One of the best places to Celebrate America and enjoy Fireworks on July 4th is Old Town Manassas, Virginia. In fact, everything begins at 3 pm in the afternoon with wonderful rides for the kids. At 4 pm, the food and live entertainment starts. The food has always been great and this year will be no exception.Oh, and did I mention the Fireworks begins at 9:15 pm? Make sure you bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Is there a better way to celebrate the change of seasons than with bands, brews and BBQs in Northern Virginia?  I think not!  This Saturday, September 15, 2012, Old Town Manassas will be holding its 2nd annual Bands, Brews & Barbecue Festival.  Both Main Street and Battle Street (from the RR tracks to Center St) will be taken over with revelers from 12pm to 7pm. What goes into a Bands, Brews & BBQs Festival in Northern Virginia?  Well, the name pretty much says it all.  Live entertainment from Halfway to Concord, Kitty and the Fat Cats and Harlen Simple will start your toes to tappin'.  Libations from local Northern Virginia breweries as well as standard drinking fare such as Budweiser will be available to quench your thirst.  And, of course, there will be barbecue food galore to tantal...

Yesterday, I went to  meet with a dear friend in Old Town Manassas Virginia for lunch. It was a rainy brisk fall day here in Virginia. My friend suggested we lunch at the City Square Cafe. It was a charming neighborhood restaurant with a very friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. We both ordered their signature sandwich which was a Ham Sandwich with apple slices and Swiss cheese on a whole grain bread served with fries. Yum! If you haven't been there, they have a very nice menu check it out here Now it was time to walk around and explore what Old Town Manassas Virginia had to offer in the way of shopping. We were immediately drawn into the shop photographed below, just because of the window dressings.  The polar bears snow scene is something you would see in a New York Macy's window du...
