For those homeowners who live around the Shillelagh Road/Cahoon Parkway area in Chesapeake, you may be aware of the plans that a developer has for building a large apartment complex in the farmland between Shillelagh Road and the Eagle Point golf course.  The Planning Commission for the county has recommended that the plans be denied.  However, the city council is free to vote any way they feel compelled.  If you feel strongly about this issue, you should write your city council members or show up at the meeting tonight (May 18, 2010).  Let your voice be heard! 05/18/2010
