CLICK PHOTO Many of my clients decide to build their new home in the Charlottesville area. They value the fact that I am representing their best interests and sometimes that leads to working with a local builder. This is one of my favorite things, to work with buyers of a new home. But I often get this question: “Charles, where do I start when considering new construction in Charlottesville?” Well this is an excellent question so I decided to build a custom search page on my website that helps with the process. Try this link and please let me know your thoughts. http://www.charlottesvillerealestatesolutions.com/customsearch/new_construction 434-515-1585 Charles McDonald Principal Broker www.CharlottesvilleRealEstateSolutions.com

Coffee and a beautiful day in Charlottesville, what a mixture! Today we are off to see 2 stunning properties that we will be listing soon. One is close in to town and in an area that is very desirable. The second home is a larger home with acreage near NGIC and DIA. This afternoon I am meeting with one of our agents to discuss the details of a contract. Being available for our agents is part of being a Principal Broker. Showing Charlottesville Real Estate is always a big part of my day but today I am handling a few other items. It will be a grand day!

Garden Week For the past 76 years, Historic Garden Week has been celebrated in Virginia and Charlottesville has several homes on the tour each year. The Charlottesville area has several historic estates with beautiful gardens and landscapes, and this opportunity to visit should not be missed. My wife has had the privilege of participating in garden week and every time she has, we start a new bed of plants in our yard! I may not have a green thumb, but I do have a few blisters on my hands from using a shovel :)

Yes, I am looking forward to Summer! There are so many people discussing Green solutions in building a home, that I thought I would show you a green solution for heating your pool... We are using Solar to heat our pool (and this is not an expensive solar system). We are just using a simple Solar Cover... Look at these results:   Outdoor temperature is 82 degrees and the pool temperature is 91 degrees!!! Wow, that is hot! It is actually a little to hot for me to swim but my wife loves it!       I learned a long time ago that making my wife happy makes me happy! Here is the simple cover we use: And here is a close up of the cover, we just roll it across the pool and unroll it when we swim(actually we lets the kids do it) Now I like a simple solution that is cost effective! (Might be wort...
