The development is situated adjacent to Stone Bridge High School and Trailside Park. One of my good friends is a Model Sailboat Guru.  As someone who has raced and sailed Sailboats all over the place; he traded in his BIG (Life-sized) sailboat for something that will fit into a DC condo.  In fact he has 3 or 4 different sized boats.  He is a Boat-a-holic.So where does he sail these (his words) "Hi-Tech, Model, Sailing Yachts"?  In Ashburn, VA.  He belongs to a group called the Ashburn Model Yacht Club.These guys and gals; build and race Sailboats of several shapes and sizes almost every Sunday.  From the cool end of winter in February to the end of fall in November; they are out at their favorite pond in Ashburn Village, racing their hand-built sailboats.The boats range in size from 12" long to 38" long.  When you add the height of the sails - they are quite impressive....

Loudoun County assessments came out earlier this month and assessed values went down in most areas of the county.  But did they go down enough for your area of the county?  This is the breakdown for the change in prices for the Ashburn area of Loudoun County.  This analysis is for the 20147 and 20148 zip codes.  It will show you the difference in values for homes sold at the end of 2006 versus the end of 2007. Increased concern of inflation caused mortgage applications to drop nearly 23% last week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.  The MBA reported that the average application rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages had risen 37 basis points by last Friday to 6.09 percent, as a result. While updated rate surveys from are set to be released tomorrow, early evidence suggests rates have jumped even further to start this week - erasing nearly all of the rate drops that we have seen in less than two weeks time.  Current 30 year FRM's are averaging 6.25% today while 15 year FRM's are averaging 5.75%.Concerns of increasing inflationary pressures could be warranted.  The U.S. Department of Labor released January's CPI report (Consumer Price Index), showing an increase of over 4% in pricin...
