WOW! Reasons to Visit Zion National Park The lure to Zion National Park brings millions of tourists to southern Utah each year. Back in 1919, only 1,814 people came through the gate and in 2020, 3,591,254 million visitors experienced the amazing sights of the park. The forest trails along the Virgin River include abundant wildlife and the very popular, Zion Narrows hike, with 1,000 foot tall walled canyons. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, boasting waterfalls and a hanging garden. When we have out-of-town guests, Zion National Park is on the lists of places to visit and the town of Springdale is rather eclectic, with small shops, an abundance of hotels, motels, Inns and fantastic restaurants.  Grab the family or friends, jump in the car and discover this wonderland for yourself! Getting High On Zion...National Park, that is! Southern Utah boasts some of the most beautiful State and National Parks in the entire United States of America. It's no wonder people flock here to get a new point of view. Zion National Park is Utah's first national park. Massive sandstone bluffs stand sentry over the valley floor below. Wildlife roams freely among the winding trails throughout. Easy, Moderate to Strenuous hiking trails are mapped in the Zion Information Guide. Discover where native people and pioneers roamed, while enjoying present day adventure. Angel's Landing is a favorite hiking spot at Zion National Park. We often went exploring with our two sons and the adventures were plentiful, the return of time spent, priceless! Home to Zion Canyon, this vast national park also...

Over the New Year, we drove from Arlington WA to Mesa Az and made some great stops along the way. The first video to be published is of a drive through Zion National Park. The video was filmed with a 360 degree (VR) camera from Zion Canyon Scenic Dr. Don't forget to pan, tilt, and move your phone, or mouse, to see the canyons rising above the valley floor. This was a trip I'll not soon forget. Thanks for watching.

Summer is my favorite time of the year and camping is my favorite outdoor activity. We usually make reservations with a group of 10-30 people so I was corrected just recently that we don't go camping but "isolated partying." We spend about half our summer weekends running away to beauty that is not far away. Our favorite camp spot is at Zion National Park. We stay in Springdale, UT which is right outside of Zion. It is a quaint town with hotels, campgrounds, beds and breakfasts, cottages, small shops and restaurants. We stay at Zion Canyon Campground and RV Park right on the Virgin River. For those that don't enjoy camping as much they also have a hotel on site. This is one of the few areas that you can get OK cell service!Since we mostly camp, we make our own food but on occasion we ve...
