9096 CLubhouse Lane Eagle Mountain, Utah SOLD.  LOVE IT.  Sellers received Notice of Default the end of 2010.  Within a week I had it listed, and an offer sent into the equator system and all the sellers paperwork submitted.  I was extremely lucky since both loans were with bank of america and I was able to work both loans at one time thru the equator system. Utah County Real Estate - Loan Origination and Discount Points Origination points are a fee paid to the originating lender which is part of the profit margin for the services that they provide.  Both are measured as a percentage of the loan amount and both are factored into the loans APR.  Generally, points are deductible as long as the seller didn't pay for them and origination fees are tax deductible provided they are expressed as a percentage.
