With this new announcement the first thing I did was make sure my favorite local Starbucks, in The Woodlands, wasn't on the list.  The Woodlands is currently not on the list.    Starbucks Corp. has announced it will close 11 stores in the Houston area as part of a plan to close 600 underperforming outlets around the country.   July 10, 2008, CNBC ran an article stating that Texas ranked top economy in nation by CNBC!!!!  This article goes on to say that "Texas boasts over half of the nation's new jobs created in the past 12 months, and has added over 1.2 million net new jobs in the past five years, more than any other state." Economists have said the increase in home prices can be linked to Texas' positive job market! In the past 12 months, ending in April 2008, Montgomery County added 4,300 new jobs, said Ted C. At least 23 houses, with an average price tag of $1.5 million per home, were sold over a six-month time frame, according to The Woodlands Development Company. I LOVE to run through The Woodlands, Texas, on the extensive bike paths!  My kids either ride their bikes or wear roller blades to come along with me.  We spent a few hours the other night exploring Cochrans Crossing. We went past the Woodlands Country Club: These are some of the most GORGEOUS running trails you will ever see!!!   The other day I went for a bike ride with my kids to the back side of Bear Branch Park, between Cochran's Crossing and Alden Bridge, in The Woodlands. We went down one of the many gullies to get there.
