First Quarter Market Report for San Antonio and Bexar County, TX

Home sales in 2017 for the San Antonio area reported a moderate increase for the first quarter with a three percent increase year-over-year for the total number of homes sold, according to the Multiple Listing Service Report from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), which reports on all areas contained with the MLS. The median price of a home sold during the first three months also increased just three percent to $199,400 while the average price rose percent to $240,057. Just a little over half the homes sold in the San Antonio area during the first quarter were priced under $200,000 with those sales making up 50.5 percent of the market.
