RBC Presents an Independence Day Cantata ‘America Keep Singing'The Riverside Baptist Church Choir will present ‘America Keep Singing’ at their two morning services on Sunday, July 3, 2016. The early service begins at 8:30 AM, Sunday School at 9:45, and the late service is at 11 AM. A bonus to attending the 11 AM service is that there will be a potluck picnic on the grounds immediately following that service. Riverside Baptist Church will provide the BBQ -- you just bring a side dish or dessert, and lawn chairs for your family and friends -- and we will have a good time.  There will be lots of family and friends visiting the lake this weekend!  Thomas Lake Road 4th of July EVENTS UPDATE! Several of the annual 4th of July events  held by the Thomas Lake Road Community Association have been cancelled for 2015 due to recent flooding. Charlene Crocker, President of the TLRCA, posted on the association's Facebook page that due to the road conditions, the golf cart parade has been cancelled. She also announced that the boat parade has also been cancelled due to water conditions. We live on the river and it is moving quickly and full of debris.    Celebrating the Life of Larry Wayne Norris   Yesterday we said goodbye to a dear friend and faithful servant. If you are saved, then you will understand what I mean when I say that this was an awesome funeral. ☺   Larry was a drug and alcohol counselor for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He helped those which society deemed unchangeable. He did this because he personally knew the God who does the impossible.    Larry was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. As you can see from the photos below, there were LOTS of bikers there. Not all were from the CMA.        The inmates from one of the prisons made his pine casket.
