  REMEMBERING MIKE CARL...REALTOR AND FRIEND. This hit me like a ton of bricks. It's Saturday morning, Carl had an inspection today and I just got back from the mail box. There it was...my Medicare Card...see I'll be 65 in December. The real live thing right before my eyes; it finally happened. My first thought was Yipee! My second thought was, Oh No! The Fork and Spoon in New Braunfels, Texas is located at 651 North Business IH 35. I went to this delightful place that is located in the MARKPLACE shopping center right smack in the middle of New Braunfels right off of IH 35. I have passed it many times and always wondered what is like, but didn't make it in until a friend suggested it.        Oh my word, the place is darling! We got there a little early, but by the time we left the place was packed (sorry, hardly any interior photos cause I didn't want to disrupt the other patrons enjoying their lunch!)  You will have to see for yourself!   Gone but not forgotten...Saturday I lost a good friend... our community lost a leader, a wife lost a husband and business partner, three children lost their Dad, three grandchildren lost their Grandpa, our industry lost a fine REALTOR, a church lost a faithful servant and many hearts are aching tonight.  Mine is among them...my friend and fellow agent Mike Carl passed away unexpectedely Satuday evening at the age of 58 and the words I keep uttering and hearing repeated over and over again are "stunned, shocked and unbelievable."  Today we said "goodbye" to our friend...hundreds of REALTORS, affiliates, friends, families, parishoners and more gathered to celebrate a life well lived and a race well run.  Mike was known for always having a hug, a smile, and a kind, encouraging word to sh... 08/05/2009

A good place for breakfast or lunch or dinner, Union Street Station in New Braunfels, Texas.   So, last Sunday we were out for a little family fun.  We decided to start with breakfast (at noon) and went to the Union Street Station in New Braunfels, Texas.  We have some local friends that are there (it seems like once every two weeks) and they just rant and rave about the food.   I was astounded to see that they make 55 DIFFERENT types of omelets!  Heavens!   The place is tiny (so you will wait for a spot), the staff is friendly and the food, well?  WORTH THE WAIT!                 This place is located at the corner of San Antonio Street and Union Street (right in front of Schlitterbahn).
