Building, Building? Building!!       When you are in the market to purchase a new home, whether it is brand new or 50 years old, you must make sure that it is a quality built home. It would be more beneficial for you to find a home that is well built, that has a little work to do, and is energy efficient, than to buy a brand new poorly built home with granite counter-tops and tile flooring. What purpose is that tile flooring going to serve when the walls around it start to crumble? Save money and gradually make the upgrades you want while investing your money into a solid built home. Stick to a budget and I promise that choosing a home that’s well built with less visual upgrades is going to turn out, most of the time, to be the one worthwhile.       Need assistance in finding the righ...

FSBO??? How necessary is utilizing a broker or realtor when trying to sell your home or property? It is crucial when selling real estate to not only market online but also to market within your immediate social convergences. More times than not, consumers have limited to no social surroundings on a daily basis. Brokers and realtors pride themselves on being in touch with others around them constantly pushing for their listings to sell. Wouldn’t it make sense to make use of these skills provided if you so choose to elect representation when selling your home? In Midlothian, Texas there are quite a few homes for sale and quite a few realtors listing those homes. Wouldn’t it make sense for the broker/realtor to be out spreading the word about your property up for sale to not just anyone ...

Excerpts taken from a letter to the editor in the Ellis County Observer: Jamie Wickliffe was on the Midlothian City Council for 12 years 1990 - 2002. Why does she want back on council Now? Is the real estate market in such bad shape? Does she need inside information to boost her income? We know why some realtors join clubs and organizations; it's called "NET WORKING." I not saying it's a bad thing. It's something people do to protect their own best interest above all others. Why get on City Boards and Commissions? The answer is for inside information. With all the real estate deals under investigation do we really want another realtor on the city council? We already have Bill Houston with GMAC Real Estate isn't that plenty? I know two councilmen that spend 20-30 hours per week researc...

If it is true that a man's home, or a woman's home... is his or her castle... then it's probably time to Call The Movers !This truly impressive home measures 3,209 sq ft... and on the inside it looks even larger.  The first floor features an incredible formal living and dining on either side of the entry foyer, and then opens into a fabulous family room with a back "wall of windows." The family room is two stories high, and also features a two-story stone fireplace with raised stone hearth and wood mantle. The family room is open from the catwalk on the second floor above... which connects the two bedrooms and full bath on one side, and the game room in the middle of the second floor. An additional bedroom, and a separate media room are at the far end of the catwalk... which again overloo...
