BAMOW is an all volunteer corporation, chartered in 1982 to administer a meal delivery program providing nutrious hot meals and sack lunches to home-bound persons, regardless of age, who lack the capability of obtaining meals on a daily basis.  Meals are delivered from 11 am to 12:30 pm Monday-Friday.  Service is available either temporarily during recovery from surgery or illness, or long term.Working out of Christus St. John's Hospital in Nassau Bay, meals are purchased from the hospital kitchen.  Coordinators pack the meals and drivers deliver to clients.  Normal routes are from one to two hours. In a few of these communities there is a PID Tax that is assessed in addition to your normal yearly property taxes. PID stands for Public Improvement District and is created by the city to typically help developers build Master Planned Communities.                                                                    I passed a sign today that was advertising a "Fishing Extravaganza", to sign-up now.  I didn't think much about it, but thought they were advertising a little early in the year for fishing.  Our temperature has been in the mid to high 30's for a few days which is as cold as it gets around here.  And then I saw an advertisement for the "13th Annual Fishing Extravaganza".  On January 25-27 the League City Pool will be stocked with 1,900 pounds of catfish and trout.  The city wants to promote fishing as a lifetime sport and a family event.  Fishing licenses and trout stamps are not required since its a controlled and private event.  Yes, our city pool is going to become a stocked fish tank for all to participate.I kid you n...
