I see lots of people who illegally stop on the side of the highway and snap a quick picture of Sam and move on their merry way. They have no idea what they are missing! Our legislative branch of government speaks in circles at best most of the time.  It's not a surprise that so much confusion surrounds this issue. Re: OBAMA-CARE as it pertains to the new Real Estate Tax that will become effective in 2013.  Although this is a piece of legislation from March 30, 2010, it just made it to my email box the other day from a client. I bet you've received it too. My clients wrote to me to ask, "Mari, is this true??" Basically, the email that is circulating says that starting in 2013 a 3.8% tax will be levied on ALL Real Estate transactions. What is the truth? Huntsville Celebrates Sam Houston’s Birthday and Texas Independence Day FRIDAY ♥ March 2, 2012 The day begins with coffee at the Sam Houston Statue and Visitors center. Followed by a  march to Sam Houston’s grave. The traditional march will begin at 10:15 am at Austin Hall on the campus of Sam Houston State University and end at the grave site (9th Street & Avenue I).
