Fulshear Freedom Fest July 4, 2014     The Fulshear Chamber of Commerce is hosting Fulshear Freedom Fest on Friday July 4,2014. The Fest will be held in Downtown Fulshear. Katy is a short drive away from Fulshear and Downtown Fulshear is easy to get to by heading West on FM 1093.   The event will feature a parade, several activities for the children, shopping, good food and of course fireworks.   The Triumph’s a nine-piece band will take the stage at 6 PM. Katy ISD Announces Proposed Names for Two New Elementary Schools   Katy ISD Naming Selection Committee recently announced the proposed names for the next two new elementary schools which will be opening for school year 2014-2015. Elementary School number 36 located in Pine Mill Ranch and Elementary School number 37 located in Cross Creek Ranch are the institutions with now proposed names.   School 36 which is located at 26906 Pine Mill Drive Katy TX is proposed to be named after retired educators Keiko Davidson. She spent 30 years out of her 35 year education career working in the Katy ISD system. She retired in June 2013 and was formerly principal at Hutsell Elementary School. Fulshear Festival of Lights Presents a Victorian Christmas   Fulshear is just west of Katy TX and some neighborhoods have a Fulshear mailing address but are zoned to attend Katy ISD Schools. Fulshear Festival of Lights is presenting a Victorian Christmas on Saturday December 7, 2013. A tree lighting at 6 PM will start the  festivities and the fun will last until around 9 PM. New Construction Home Sold and Closed in Katy/Fulshear   My client purchased a new build home during the early spring of 2013 and this home was closed two weeks ago in mid-October 2013. I did not post a blog about this closing as my client had not yet moved into this beautiful home. Churchill Farms Homes for Sale Katy June 27, 2013   Churchill Farms in far west Katy or eastern Fulshear is a fairly new subdivision that began with land being cleared during November 2011 and homes being sold without a model(s) during January 2012. Churchill Farms has a Fulshear mailing address. The neighborhood is considered Katy by some folks and is considered Fulshear by others. Katy ISD Announces Opening of new School in Cross Creek Ranch   Recently to meet the ever increasing demands of huge population growth, Katy Independent School District ( Katy ISD) announced a new Elementary School will be opened in Cross Creek Ranch for the Fall of 2014 school year.
