In business and personal communication effective listening is vital. Commit to getting better at it going forward. REDISCOVER IT FOR YOURSELF AS A NEW ARTFORM. Two things: Listen twice as much as you talk. Remember the two ears one mouth visual In keenly listening to another in a conversation, work extra hard to listen for UNDERSTANDING, and NOT listening to REPLY back. Too often the latter is what we do.

It is so not easy to effectively communicate with people. I am starting to think it is getting WORSE lately than say 10 or 20 years ago. The world is moving too fast, and people are not taking time to SLOW DOWN to see if the recipient has received a high level of understanding. It can happen face to face even, or over the phone. But where you see SO MANY people misspeaking is with the written form. I call it cryptic. What did they say? Where you turn into Sherlock Holmes deciphering their written blurb. Tips to not be so cryptic as a writer: Write complete sentences, not short blurbs Don't TEASE people with a few words thinking it is cute. It is miscommunicating Totally steer clear of Twitter and texting if what you are saying is anything of importance In email organize your thoughts in...

I think sometimes we can all emphasize positive thinking too much or realistic thinking but even better with accomplishing pretty much ANYTHING in life is to focus on POSSIBILITY thinking. Namely our greatest roadblock in life is US. Our thinking, sure, not just positive or negative but BELIEF. If you don't believe "yourself" you already have lost. Possibility removes limits. Our greatest limitation is no question, between our ears. Think vision. Know where you want to go. Then believe. YOUR belief is the most important, not others. Steady firm belief is required to get where you want to go.

In reading around a lot, and also mingling with lots of folks in a day, even watching TV or reading rants on the Internet social media, I am amazed how serious everyone is like ALL THE TIME. Sure there are weighty things to ponder and solve but levity should be a balance in our lives. So much laughter is lost in the number of times a child laughs till we get to adulthood and beyond. Maybe paying bills will do that to you I don't know. Jack Lalanne the body builder from TV times lived to the ripe age of 96 and even he looked around in his day and lamented, what is the deal with all the glum long faces? I included the video. Try best you can to find many opportunities for laughter. It is like inner feel good jogging. What do they say? The best medicine.

I think we would all agree in a turbulent world of business and life in general we could add more inner peace to feel better. Two strategies (best you can) to calm things down with DRAMA of others you may find yourself in: 1. DISENGAGE after you feel the confrontation heating up. You don't have to go on and on with people with a fight. Say your final words and leave it at that. 2. With argumentative, critical, or rude people, listen or read what they have to say, then CHOOSE to let it be. The mere act of avoiding the controversy is one of pick your battles. Sometimes PEACE is more important for YOUR life than fighting over who is MORE right.

One of the hallmarks of LIVING in the MOMENT is the chance to MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I do think there are no coincidences and WHY we are thrust into certain circumstances and situations is unfathomable some days. Why did this person cross our path? Why are we in this exact spot at this exact time? I have come to NOT question that too deeply. BUT wherever we find ourselves at the crossroads of the universe in a 24 hour day, we either bring all our talents and abilities, our uniqueness, our shining character to bear, to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, or unfortunately, sometimes even, NOT. Hopefully we choose to participate in life nearly all the time and not sit off on the sidelines like a doorstop. Living in the moment means not dredging up the past each day in like some poor me moments written on Faceb...

Showings of homes can be a little dull. Here's the bathroom. Here's the backyard. Look at this spacious kitchen. This gameroom could accomodate a large pool table. What if we added "amusement" to the tour? Well, a thought. I am easily amused you might have guessed!!

Sometimes I think I should author and provide a class on using the word "NO" sprinkled liberally in your life. It has been easy for me but others put out that YES to a lot of things they should not based on where it takes them. TWO MORE words to amplify that NO in some situations,     RUN AWAY!! I see it in business and our personal lives. Customers that are not ideal clients. Energy and emotion drainers. People who are so fully wrapped around negativity. Hair brained financial opportunities. People smiling and using the word seminar. If you learn to RUN AWAY from some circumstances rather than avoiding costly entanglements with products, people, paths, or ideas that JUST ARE NOT YOU, it frees you up tremendously to design the life you want, and are a most comfortable fit for. I am not ...

Special Government Home Renovation Loan Program with Flower Mound TX FHA 203k Loans.     The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) offers a special government loan program that a lot of people are not aware of. Existing home owners or potential home buyers can remodel and update their homes without having a higher cost second lien because of this FHA loan program.         The loan program does not allow for “luxury items” which are defined as items like a swimming pool or hot tub, etc. But you can repaint, replace flooring, remodel cabinetry in kitchens and bathrooms, add wallpaper, replace appliances – even add a room to an existing structure (which can significantly add to value as you increase the square footage of your home).         Many advantages exist with this government loan pr...

I have always just naturally been a huge believer on R-E-S-P-E-C-T of everyone, whether background, race, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and especially AGE. I do think we can learn from everyone, and I remember an older person than me telling me EVERYTHING THAT IS NEW IS NOT NECESSARILY BETTER. I see sometimes with people playing so much with games or social media on their phones, or endless selfies photos, an older person might say I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR IT, and from one perspective I see their point. Experience life, quit documenting it all the time, and sharing it with follower "strangers." Hugs that are real are better than virtual ones. So LISTEN to all ages, especially "old dogs" that may already have been there done that and KNOW the tricks. They might even have ...
