Deer Creek can be accessed off Hamilton Pool RD or Ranch Road 12. From Hamilton Pool RD turn onto Longhorn Sky way and meander through the subdivision's hills. From Ranch RD 12 turn onto Deer Creek Circle. This "subdivision" is actually a combination af several subdivisions. As these homes meander through the hills they cross from Travis County into Hays County. Some homes are served by Lake Travis ISD while others attend Dripping Springs ISD.  The area is comprised of homes and home sites that range in price and size widely. There is a community park with a nice sided lake. The park has a few tables and a swimming area. It is surrounded by nice trees and has a very comfortable feel.  If you'd like to view any of the homes for sale or just have some questions about this subdivision feel...

The homes are set back a minimum of 150' from the road, with a few exceptions. Family friendly, I'd say so. Enjoy the spacious park that has a childerens playscape, teather ball, sand volleyball, basketball, tennis court, and room for baseball (childrens) and football. Animal friendly, you bet. Horses are welcome as well as many other animals (with limits).  Dripping Springs has that small town feel yet it is only a few minutes to the big city amenities. Dripping Springs is often referred to as "The Gateway to The Hill Country." Take a short drive out Hwy 290 for a look around.   Bill Austin ~ ...

Sure, spending time outdoors is great - except for all the bugs. But experts say you can stay bug free - without spending a fortune - if you... Get out the clippers.Keep tree branches cut back from your deck and patio, and minimize ants. Also, pull up any weeds nearby. Mosquitoes use them as rest stops. Give flowers a shower.Soaking them thoroughly with a garden hose before a picnic or party to mimic a rain shower. Pollinating insects like bees don't like wet conditions and will stay away until plants dry out. That's usually about two hours. Blow bugs away... with a fan.The air current from a fan will deter flying and biting insects because they aren't strong enough to fly against the wind it makes. It'll also blow away any trace of your scent, so they can't find you. Keep flies away w...

Hello Readers,  As the temperature starts to climb and the weather starts to dry up here in Central Texas we all want to make sure are doing our best to conserve water.  *Use only water sprinklers that spray the lease amount of water into the air: this will help lessen the amount of evaporation *Water early in the morning or late in the evening: this time of day might be cooler therefore reducing evaporation. In addition, the more water on the leaves the greater the chances of fungal problems on the leaves. Even plain water while the sun is out can burn leaves. *Your finger is your best moisture meter: dig down as deep as you can towards the roots to feel the soil before watering *Know your mow: Mow your lawn high to avoid moisture loss. Also check your lawn mower blade each mowing seas...
