When it comes to a goal, you can’t just “set it and forget it”!Goals are important to set both short-term and long-term to keep us balanced and focused (and sane!)  It is so easy to just go through day-to-day and fall into an abyss of despair.  Setting a goal each day, each week, each month and for the year (and beyond) allows us the opportunity to achieve that sense of accomplishment that serves our well-being.  Many times your goal(s) will include helping someone else achieve theirs…this is a win-win!So start your day with this goal, give yourself the opportunity to make this the first day to achieve a regular schedule of patting yourself on the back for reaching your goal(s).To help inspire you, here are some great quotes: 1)    “Beaten paths are for beaten men.”  Eric A. Moving Day - it's finally here! Follow this easy list of "to-do's" to make your move go smoothly:On moving day, attitude is everything and your attitude is strictly business. Think of yourself as the CEO of this operation. Before the moving truck arrives, try to make sure your children are somewhere else a friend or relative’s home. Also, the dog, the cat, the goldfish, all these things should be out of the way. Have the caregiver bring the kids back home just prior to the truck leaving so the kids can see where their belongings are going. When the truck does arrive, find out who is in charge of the move. It’s usually going to be the driver. Get his or her name. For the rest of the day, your communications should be with whoever is in charge, for him or her to relay to the workers.Likewis...

In June I wrote a post about one of my favorite networking techniques and it was all about shopping (click here to read that post).  Today I had the great fun of doing some networking shopping for purses and it was a wonderful Win-Win as Dillard's Department Stores is hosting a trade-in event that will donate purses to local charities (the event is for both purses and watches).  Needless to say, there were a number of handbags that are now in the hands (well, on the arms) of many in my purse network...and yes, a few found their way into my collection as well!  A matching number of wonderful purses were donated, that I believe will be of great delight to the eventual recipients.  The Dillard's event continues through the 23rd, you can check with your local store to see if they are partic...

The Bottom Line on Recycling Do's and Dont's There is no single standard for recycling - every community sets their own. Phone Books and Pizza Boxes are often not welcomed by recycling programs. Not all plastic can be recycled. Look for the recycling symbol to be sure. Did you know? Your local community or trash pickup firm can usually advise on recycling regulations. Do Recycle: High-quality plastics labeled with number one and two recycling symbols. Food and beverage containers, such as milk, soda, water, salad dressings, etc. Jars and canisters such as those used for peanut butter, soap, and aspirin bottles, etc. Mail, junk and otherwise, including brochures, fliers, white/light envelopes, etc. Aluminum, tin and steel cans, such as soda, beer, tuna, vegetable, etc. Printed paper su...

Now here is a fun English Proverb that I heard about worrying:  Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair, It gives you something to do... But it doesn't get you anywhere.          Don't waste your time worrying...life is too short.Spend your time doing things that will not only keep youfrom worrying, but will make you happy!
