There has been some recent news about a waterpark coming to the Cedar Park Area of Austin, as seen here in a local paper.  This waterpark is planned to be located on a fast growing road that connects Cedar Park to Round Rock. In fact just a few miles down toward Round Rock is the new Prime Outlet Malls, IKEA & Teravista.There are a couple of car dealerships that are going in nearby that should be breaking ground pretty soon. There is an HEB & Home Depot just a couple of blocks down the road.With the opening of tollway 183A, the Extension of Parmer Lane, and all of the developments going in on & around the 1431 & 183 intersection such as Threadgills, a 14 screen movieplex & lots more shopping, this high quality style waterpark will suit the many families that live in this area just fine.... 04/27/2007

The city of Cedar Park and cap metro are in talks about adding a new MetroRail station in Cedar Park.   even though cap metro is not a part of the cedar park district.  The talks have led way to a feasibility study which will be performed by cap metro.  Because Cedar Park is not a member of Cap Metro's district, they do not pay one-cent per sales tax dollar.  It has been Cap Metros policy that a city which receives their public transportation, they must pay this tax.  According to an article in Community Impact Newspaper by Christie Snow, former 2004 Mayor Bob Antle says:"Capital Metro is a great fit for Cedar Park," he said. Ahead of schedule the Texas 45 toll road extensin between Parmer Lane and US 183 will be openning Friday April 25th....one day ahead of schedule!  This portion of road way extends west of 620 from Parmer Lane and will offer access to 183 N or 183 S.  Look for the new apartments on the North side of this portion of the toll way to be opening in the next few months!  04/26/2007
