When you hear hear the words, "Short Sale", what comes to mind?  I have found that most realtors don't even want to think about a short sale.  Personally, I welcome the challenge.  Each short sale is different of course.  Every mortgage company is different and each person from the mortgage company is different.  It's unfortunate that most people that work in the loss mitigation department feel like the realtors are annoying them by calling them on a daily basis.   What they can't seem to grasp is that if we could just get one phone call...like, yes Ms. Shamburger, we got your fax.  Just acknowledge the fact you got it.  Also, it cracks me up that they can't give out a phone number or an email address.  It is like a top secret place, that no one can penetrate.Ultimately, everyone is aft...

I KNOW, I KNOW...everyone is predicting another bad year for real estate.  I have to tell you that I beg to differ.  I honestly believe that the market in Johnson County is going to see another surge.  It might just be my optimistic side...but isn't that what we are suppose to be?  OPTIMISTIC!  If you think it, it will happen.  I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.  Good luck with everything personally and professionally.

I don't know how many realtors have told me that November and December are the slow months of the year.  Maybe this November and December are different...maybe not.  I have been extremely busy and transactions are closing.  It isn't just the fact that people are relocating.  Many of the closings are from people moving up.  The buyer's are realizing that they are getting a really good deal.  They understand that most seller's are listing their homes to sell them, not just to see what happens.  I'm sure this isn't true everywhere, but it is true in the Johnson County are in Texas.  Burleson is hopping.  There are new businesses and new residents moving in everyday.

If you're looking for unusual gifts this Christmas, I may have just found the place for you!Owned by Marty Mullendore and Denise Griffin, I believe Petticoat Junction has found the perfect blend of things to buy.Petticoat Junction in Burleson, TX has a wide array of merchandise that ranges from rustic decor, fabulous pottery, and fashion accessories.        In this part of North Texas people want things "Texan" and this store has a large variety of Texas accessories. You have your Texas Star to your ornamental iron crosses. A lot of people in this area do a "wall of crosses" in their homes and it's quite lovely.              They have a Christmas section that has some of the prettiest Christmas decor around. When you visit you need to be sure not to miss this room!Along with their store...

Burleson Texas is located in Johnson County and a portion of it lies in Tarrant County. Burleson is about 14 miles South of Fort Worth in Northern Johnson County and Northern Tarrant County. Burleson began when the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad planned a railroad from Fort Worth to Hillsboro in 1881 and established a depot on the town site. Burleson is now in the epicenter of growth. With increased housing starts, shopping centers and eating establishments one could say Burleson is a Boom Town. If you a visiting Burleson be sure and eat at Babes Chicken Dinner House. If you are thinking of buying or selling real estate or know someone who is we would be delighted to talk with you.Remember United Country Real Estate

Having been a Toastmaster for over 15 years I enjoy public speaking and I also enjoy visiting Toastmasters Clubs. One of the Best Kept Secrets in Johnson County is the Burleson Toastmasters Club. I visited it a few months ago. It is a morning club and the meeting starts at 7:00. I was pleasantly surprised to find a club with so much energy so early in the morning. I don't know when I have had so much fun that early in the morning. If you are interested in learning to improve your communication skills you owe it to yourself to visit the Burleson Toastmasters Club. The meeting is every Thursday at 7:00 a.m. The meeting is held at the Burleson Chamber of Commerce, 1044 SW Wilshire, Burleson, TX, 76028. The contact person is Barb Bradford - barb_bradford@sbcglobal.net.I know you will enjoy ...
