Falconhead Bee Cave - Austin TX - has a large variety of homes for sale. The houses that are currently on the market range in age from 2003 up to brand new built in 2009.  Sizes range from 2967 sqft up to 6204 sqft.  Prices range from $379,900 up to $1,250,000. Why is there such a large difference in homes available in Falconhead Bee Cave Austin TX?  Because we have a wide variety of people moving to the area, and they're all looking for something a bit different. Many people are drawn to the community because of the Falconhead PGA Golf Course.  You do not have to be a member to live in the community, and you can be a member without living in the community.  It's a public course. The prices will dictate whether or not the house backs up to the course, at either a fairway, tee, or green....

The Hill Country Galleria - Bee Cave Austin TX - had their trick or treating event last night.  This was Alyssa's first time to trick or treat as last year, she wasn't even one yet, and she didn't like her ladybug costume. We had visited the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary a couple of times, and she became obsessed with the Tigers and "big cats" so I bought her a Leopard costume.  "I don't like that, Mommy!"  I heard that for two weeks.  Yesterday afternoon, she decided she liked it when I put the head band on her head and took her to the big, three-way mirror. After that, I didn't have a problem putting the costume on her! We even saw a big Elmo.  She smiled, but wouldn't go up to him.  I picked her up for a picture, and a lady walked right in front, so I had to crop it down, but it's s...

The City of Bee Cave TX finally opened their long-awaited Bee Cave Central Park.  Bee Cave's park was actually completed several months ago, but because of the drought in the area, the City of Bee Cave decided to postpone the opening. They wanted to allot enough time for the grass to grow in and the trees to take root so it wasn't very muddy.   Just in time for this past weekend, the City of Bee Cave made it happen!!  For the occasion, my mom's group of friends decided to have a playdate at the Bee Cave Central Park.  Over 50 people showed up!  And even with so many kids running around and climbing on the equipment, there was still plenty of room for more kids. The space is quite large and it's anchored by a covered Pavilion with water fountains and restrooms. There is even a Basketball...

Austin TX Wildlife in and around new home communities is always interesting to see. Here is my newest find on our back steps.  There are two, but I couldn't get the other one in a good pose. As you can see, compared to the penny, these are tiny little guys.  So cute.  Alyssa and I were poking them with blades of grass to make them hop.  Each time, Alyssa would say, "Ribbit ribbit." Here are some of the other Austin TX Wildlife creatures I've found in and around my home. Falconhead PGA Golf Course - Bee Cave TX - is a very nice golf course.  My husband plays it all the time. Every single day, I have to drive past the driving range and some of the course, and the greens always look to be actually green and not brown. Personally, I don't condone how much golf my husband plays, but I figured there had to be a way to cut down on the cost of his habit... a membership!!Falconhead Golf Club manages the Falconhead PGA Golf Course and has several different memberships to chose from.  For my husband, I decided the Player Performance Program would fit him best.  It includes unlimited use of the practice facility and driving range.  That means, if he just wants to go hit some balls, it costs him (and me) nothing.  Some places charge like $10 a bucket, and those buc...

Falconhead - Bee Cave TX - Golf Course Community is a great place to call home!  Buying into the community does not automatically make you a member of the Falconhead Golf Club.  Falconhead Golf Club opened in 2003 and is a PGA Tour design course.  Instead of just the typical three tee boxes, Women's Men's, and Professional's, this course has five sets of tee boxes for every level. There are several different types of memberships you can buy, depending on how much you golf, and many tournaments held throughout the year, so check back at their event's website often for more dates. The Falconhead Golf Club is not surrounded by just trees, streams, and views.  It's also surrounded by some very nice, upscale homes.  Falconhead has three very distinct sections.  The initial section when you d...

The Iron Cactus Restaurant at the Hill Country Galleria - Bee Cave TX- definitely redeemed themselves on Wednesday night!! For those who did not read about the initial experience, you can read about it right here at The Iron Cactus Restaurant - One Horrible Experience. As I mentioned in the previous post, as an edit at the bottom, the Chief Operating Officer, Bryan Soltis, contacted me and we had a very nice conversation.  It ended with me saying I would go again and report back on how it went.  I also met with Nathan Hanna, the Iron Cactus Manager at the Hill Country Galleria location in Bee Cave. He asked me to ask for him on my next visit.  However, I wanted to compare apples to apples.  I knew that if I asked for Nathan upon my arrival, they would roll out the red carpet, but I want...

Homes in Lake Pointe Austin - Bee Cave TX Market Activity - tell an interesting story.  At the end of July, I wrote a blog post called Lake Pointe Austin TX Market Activity, and it explained how things were going in May, June, and July 2009. I have decided to revisit the community to show you the Lake Pointe Austin - Bee Cave TX activity over the past 90 days of July, August, and September 2009. Two months ago, there were 42 properties on the market, where as now, there are only 33.  Did that many more homes sell??  You would think so, but that's not exactly the case. Two months ago, there were 9 Pending properties and 14 Sold properties during the previous 3 month's activity.  Strangely enough, the past three months show the exact same figures of 9 Pending and 14 Sold properties.  That...

The Hill Country Galleria Bee Cave TX is more than just a mall.  It is also a place for hosting many events throughout the year. Each season, they host a concert series.  Some friends and I went to see Matt Skinner and Amanda Brown, opening by Drew Kennedy, on Saturday night. We got there early, but Drew Kennedy had already started. Talk about not having to wait around. In between the acts, the kids took it upon themselves to run around and enjoy the beautiful evening we were having, so here are some pictures of Alyssa just having some fun.        Then, Matt Skinner and Amanda Brown began their set.  I had never heard them before,  but apparently that's one of the good things about Austin Texas is that there is so many musicians, you can hear someone new everyday. To keep up with all of...

Falconhead West Bee Cave TX's TailGate party was a huge success!  Each time I drove by, there were tons of cars. Alyssa and I stopped by at one point so she could bounce in the bounce house, however, we never made it that far.  Instead, I went into the Falconhead West Bee Cave TX's builder's model to ask the sales rep some questions about my new, soon-to-be neighbors as I noticed a "sold" sign in the yard next door the day before. While waiting for him to become free, I gave Alyssa her first "real" Popsicle, which she loved and made a huge mess with!  Oops, it was a RED one! Since I'm a nosy person, I was listening to the conversation the sales rep was having with this nice couple.  By the time they left, they had asked me for my card and my opinion about the area, and on and on.  They ...

Falconhead West Bee Cave Austin TX, part of Hill Country Austin just West of the city, is a fabulous community that has been growing and building strong. There are currently about 70 houses that are owner occupied, and approximately 20 houses being built right now.You can see everything first hand this weekend, September 19th for the Falconhead West "Tour and Tailgate" Party.  From 12:30-6pm, stop by the model homes to view the homes and neighborhood along with catching some college football on the outside, big screen tv, eat, drink, and have some fun!Why is Falconhead West Bee Cave TX one of the best values in the Austin area?  Taxes are only 1.9% and that's before the Homestead Exemption!  Why pay 2.67% or 2.4% like some neighboring communities when you could take that money you're sav...

I've been having fun capturing all the interesting Austin TX Wildlife and Austin TX Insects that I'm finding around my house and neighborhood.  Backing to a wooded, greenbelt area brings in more creatures than interior properties. This one actually stopped flying long enough for me to get a pretty good picture of it. No blurry, flapping wings, but completely in focus. It's beautiful! **Are You Packed Yet?**  Donna Harris, REALTOR®RE/MAX Austin Skylinewww.DonnaHomes.comDonna@DonnaHomes.com Austin TX Real Estate and thesurrounding areas of Lakeway, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, Cedar Park,Round Rock, Spicewood, Circle-C, Steiner Ranch, and everywhere inbetween... I don't normally post negative things about different places I visit, but I recently had such a bad experience, I'm hoping someone in higher management at the restaurant sees this and helps retrain the wait staff. I waited tables and bartended through college.  I was a head-wait and also a trainer. That means, I trained people how to treat people when they came into my restaurant.  With that, I never expect to get wonderful service when I go places because no one trains people like I do, but I expect somewhat decent service. This was my experience at The Iron Cactus at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, TX a couple of days ago. We got there about 5:30pm so it was not very busy.  We asked for a booth.  We were told there were no booths available, so they walked us to a table, in the ...

Can you help me and Bambi and the rest of my family find a home? There are lots of deer running through my neighborhood of Falconhead West in Bee Cave, TX, but it was even more amazing to find this tree that looks so much like a deer, right down the street from my house. From this angle, you can see he has found his way to the Model Homes (per the sign in the background, in case you missed it). **Are You Packed Yet?** Donna Harris, REALTOR®RE/MAX Austin Skylinewww.DonnaHomes.comDonna@DonnaHomes.com Austin, TX and the surrounding areas of Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Spicewood, Circle-C, Steiner Ranch, and everywhere in between... Every chance I get, I've been posting pictures of the creatures and critters I see in and around my house.  Some look friendly, while other's look not-so-friendly. Here is our latest friend that we encountered.  Oscar (the dog) didn't quite know what to do with him. He was scared at first as it hopped around.  But then he put his paw out in friendly play.  Mr. Toad allowed me to snap a couple of pictures before hopping under the BBQ grill for "safety". **Are You Packed Yet?** Donna Harris, REALTOR®RE/MAX Austin Skylinewww.DonnaHomes.comDonna@DonnaHomes.com Austin, TX and the surrounding areas of Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Spicewood, Circle-C, Steiner Ranch, and everywhere in between... How did I start my Monday morning?  With a screw... in my tire!  My husband thought it was just on the surface, so he started to pull it out, however, he heard the hissing sound and immediately pushed it back in. That left me calling to find some place nearby who patches holes in tires.  My husband's initial reaction was for me to go to Walmart, they do everything.  I called, it was $9.50.  That's not bad, but it's also 12 miles away.  What could happen with the tire in 12 miles?  I pictured myself stranded on the side of the street. I called Discount Tire as they were a couple of minutes away.  How much does it cost??  FREE!!  Zip!!  Zilch!!  Nada!! Zero!! They said on the phone there was a 45 minute total wait.  Yikes!  It was already almost 9am so that was going to take the rest of m...

Falconhead in Austin, TX was built on Spillman Ranch and surrounds the PGA Falconhead Golf Course. The greens are beautiful and very well kept.  My husband can be found on the course or at the driving range at least a couple of times a week.  Falconhead is a community that started back in 2003, however, there are still new homes being built today.  They are currently in "close-out" mode, which means LOTS of deals are to be had! Taylor Morrison is finishing up the rest of their inventory homes and have no lots available to build on.  Monterey Homes has a couple of inventory homes available, however, they actually still have about 20 lots to choose from to build your own.  Each lot is 80' wide, so you can't just reach out and touch your neighbor. Here are some pictures of houses in variou...

I have a couple of Spanish Oak trees in my backyard, and I also back up to a Natural Greenbelt area with thousands of Spanish Oaks. Here is a picture of the leaves on the Spanish Oak tree: Well, it looks like my trees are having an identity crisis.  Look at the leaves that are currently growing in clusters all over the trees... What is this, and why is it happening?  They are two very distinctive kinds of leaves. These trees have to be OLD as this was untouched land prior to my community of Falconhead West being built here. Does anyone else have examples of their trees having an identity crisis and switching species or growing completely different leaves?
