Falconhead West is a community of approximately 460 houses in the City of Bee Cave, 20 minutes West of Austin. Falconhead West is also part of the Exemplary Lake Travis ISD, which is why it's a very popular neighborhood for people who want low taxes in addition to great school. The builders have been out of Falconhead West for just about a year now. Since then, as with many newer commnuities, the resale starts to take off as people chase the next new community. Below are two charts. The first one is for January 1 - September 9, 2013 and the second one is Year to Date for 2014, which is Jan 1- Sept 9. Falconhead West is just about complete, finally!  The only things left to build are the houses where the construction trailers were located. Falconhead West is a neighborhood in Bee Cave TX, just West of Austin, in the Texas Hill Country, and made up of just under 300 houses. Falconhead West's main entrance is at Highway 71, however many home owners enter through the Falconhead community off 620 and drive past the Falconhead Golf Course. In the past, sales were always hard to analyze because of all the new construction homes competing with the regular resale homes. Not anymore!! Since January 1, 2013 - September 3, 2013, there have been 30 preowned sales in Falconhead West. The sales average a 3776 sqft home, built in 2010, with 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, 3 living areas, and a 3 car garag...

For a couple of years, the view outside my office window was a vacant lot across the street. The builders had not put a house there yet.  I thought it would be fun to capture the entire building process on video, so I waited and waited for them to start "moving dirt", as they say.  One day, I finally saw the dumpster appear. That means they're ready... Each day that there was some type of progress on the house, I went out and shot a very short video from approximately the same spot each time. I then stitched all the videos together and produced this: As I was creating videos, I thought for sure that this would become a 5 minute video that would be way too long to interest people, but it's just over a minute. Falconhead West in Bee Cave TX, just West of Austin, is a growing community with so much building activity going on.  There are three builders within Falconhead West and three distinct sections, which means different pricing depending on where you want to be within the community. The three distinct sections are the 60' lots, the 70' lots, and the 80' lots. Many people think that just because the lot size gets bigger, that your neighbor is further away... but this is far from the truth.  What really happens? They put a larger home on the larger piece of property. In the 60' section, the homes are more around 2500 sqft. In the 70' section, the homes are more around 3500 sqft, and in the 80' section, the homes are more around 4500 sqft.  I'm personally in the 70' section with a 3900 sqft h...
