Downtown Bastrop has lots to offer including a great Chamber of Commerce.  It is located on Main Street and has lots of local information to share.  The Bastrop Board of Realtors meets every Friday at 9:45 for the weekly Realtor tour in one of the meeting rooms at the Chamber.  This is a great place for people new to the area to come in and find  out what is happening on a local level.  Membership has it's benefits too for local business people.  The Chamber is very active and hosts a number of annual functions for it's members.  Make it a point to stop in!

There are a bunch of great restaurants in Bastrop.  I was on the way to our weekly Realtor tour this last Friday and stopped to take pictures of a few of them on one half of Main Street.  I will make it a point to post more of local Bastrop restaurants in the future so watch for the posts. Baxters - Fine dining, great wines, nice outside patio     Big Mouth's - American Bistro style, dynomite burger Maxine's - Country cooking at it's finest and a local breakfast hang out!
