One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. It is a time to slow down, look around, and see all the wonderful things around us to be thankful for - whether that's everyday things like running around Town Lake or some of the year's accomplishments (this will be a record setting year for me business wise) or special moments (like coaching my kids teams). One of the things I'm most thankful for this year is time with family. A huge silver lining of the pandemic was getting to see my kiddos more and make some lasting memories. I’m feeling blessed the Junior League of Austin Christmas Affair is back this year!! The in-person event this year was so much fun! This year’s theme is “Dashing through the Snow” and returned to the Palmer Events Center located at 900 Barton Springs Road, Austin.Austin has undergone many changes since I moved here in 1981. The only constant for Austin is “change” but the qualities our city cherishes: compassion, generosity and creativity never change. Every dollar raised during the five-day event provides much-needed funding for the Junior Leagues signature programs and community non-profit partnerships. At the Coldwell Banker Realty Northwest Austin Office, we work hard, we play hard and we make a difference!                    On Veterans Day a group of our awesome NW Coldwell Banker Realty agents volunteered our time for the ABoR Foundation, Austin Habitat for Humanity at 7225 Zachary to help construct their 44th home in this community!          There are currently 43 homes completed out of 67. It’s amazing what can happen when many hands work hard all day! It was a clear, cool, sunny day perfect working conditions. I feel grateful to be a part of an organization that believes in investing our energy and expertise to be of service to better our community through long term partnerships!

In October 2021, a stunning 32 NW Coldwell Banker agents were eligible for the Million Dollar Club by listing, writing business or closing sales during the month of 1 Million or more! So proud of everyone's contribution! Our office closed 97 properties, wrote 78 contracts, listed 39 homes, and wrote 38 leases. I love working in an office where everyone works together in a culture of awesomeness, celebrating each other's success and encouraging each other to grow. We have been digesting the numbers from last month for Midtown's popular neighborhood Brentwood. If you've been following my blog past months, October looks like we took a sharpe dip in values....HOWEVER, the devil is in the details.  Of the sales last month, only 1 home toped the $1M mark.  A majority of the homes were sales that went to developers, including my listing at 6107 Grover Ave.  There were no new construction sales last month, or many larger homes which traditional push the averages higher.Under contract- 10Sales in October - 10Avg. list- $728,400Avg. sold price- $766,650Avg. Wednesday night, November 4th after a windy, cold, rainy day in Austin the Q2 Stadium (a soccer-specific stadium located in North Austin) came alive with roaring fans! The stadium is the home of Austin FC, a Major League Soccer team that began playing in 2021. Is Austin and specifically the Canyon Creek market slowing down, cooling off or calming down? Just like the majority of Austin, CANYON CREEK’S incline in home prices is not as steep as they were in the spring, but inventory is low and homes are selling! There are only 3 Active listings on the market in Canyon Creek.October Home Sales are down 25% over 2020 October Sales. Late last summer our market gained traction after a 2 - 3 month pause due to COVID. I was proud to be a member of the amazing “Queen B’s” team for the Susan G. Komen “MORE THAN PINK WALK” held Sunday October 24th, 2021 at the Long Center in Austin Texas. Participating to raise money and show my support for the millions of women, who have been impacted by breast cancer and a special friend Bianca Vanderberg, was one of the most rewarding and heartwarming events I’ve shared. Sunday night was a wonderful opportunity to meet “one on one” with Carol Williams! I’ve been following her Epic Road Trip and so glad she had time to spend Sunday night dinner with me at the Steiner Ranch Steak House in the hill country in Austin Texas. What a sunset photo she captured! One of the best I've seen taken. After 18 holes of golf at the Falconhead Golf Club she was able to get back to her hosts house, freshen up and meet me for dinner!
