Great News!  Jobs and More jobs seem to be offered in Collin County and in our base town of Allen!  San Jose, California based Cisco Systems Inc. announced earlier this June they will build a 140,000- to 160,000-square foot data center just north of Stacy Rd in Allen on the west side of Central Expressway (75013 Zip Code).  The new facility, which is set to begin construction the first part of next year, will employ over 100 full-time and contract workers.  This news boads well for Allen Real Estate. Wow, it's spring time in Allen. The weather is getting warmer, last weekend not withstanding. The trees and lawns are turning green, however mine are still mostly weeds (I'm working on it)! And then the realization hit me. Schools out in a little over two months. A quarter of the year is already gone! In two months time I'll have a high school graduate (one who finally got a job, thanks Bill from Saxby's Coffee) and a Junior at Allen High. Good Gravy I'm getting old. I don't have to worry about summertime avtivities to keep my kids busy but many of you do. I couldn't be more excited to announce that my home church, Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, is hosting an Avalon concert on February 22. They will also be with us in worship that morning! This is just one reason I am proud to call CCBC my home church. Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church is located just across McKinney/Allen city lines on 121 in Allen, TX. What first drew me to CCBC was the incredible children's ministry. My son, then 18 months, enjoyed attending church and preschool there. We joined in 2003, and 6 years plus another little boy later, we are still calling CCBC our home.
