Fifty three are pre-owned and 7 are new construction at Addison Grove and The Reserve. The main topic at last week's Addison Town Hall meeting, hosted by Mayor Joe Chow, was the Brookhaven Club Drive redevelopment project, Vitruvian Park.  This UDR development will cover 99 acres, replacing 9 parcels of old apartment complexes.  There will be a 12 acre waterfront park around a springfed creek, with open spaces, an amphitheater park, a neighborhood park, public art, 500,000 sq ft of office space, 6000 housing units, plus retail.  Pedestrian activities will be encouraged.  This 6-phase project has already begun.  Some of the apartment complexes have been bulldozed.  According to the Mayor, the property values of the 39 unit condo complex right next door to the multiuse Vitruvian Park will increase in Value.  {Pssst!  Want to buy there?  I have a listing there, a 2 BR condo ...

All politics is local, as the saying goes.  And it doesn't get any more local than city council elections (except at the HOA level).  It's time, once again, to vote for Addison Town Council members.There are 4 candidates for 3 seats in the May 10, 2008 election: incumbents Tom Braun (Mayor Pro Tempore), Dennis Kraft (Councilmember), and Roger Mellow (Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore).  They are joined by Blake Clemens who ran unsuccessfully last year and is hoping for different results this time.As reported last year in The Dallas Morning News: "A routine background check by The Dallas Morning News revealed that Mr. Clemens was arrested in Florida in 1993. What I know about Feng Shui might only fill a thimble.  But it was enough to break the ice and get me some buyer clients!  I will usually take a buyer out to just a few homes to see if we are a good fit for each other before I pull out the Buyer Representation agreement for signatures.  On Sunday, I showed one of my listings from a phone call off the sign in the yard.  Two very sweet women pulled up and we walked through the home.  They continually chatted with each other in a language I did not understand and I was having a difficult time getting a "read" on them, their seriousness about purchasing a home, and exactly what they were looking for.  The asked if there were any other homes in the neighborhood, so I showed a slightly larger one, a foreclosure, but essentially the same floor...
