Addison Texas Home Sales were down 20% in November 2013 over the same month last year with 89 homes selling this month! So far this year, overall home sales were at 1,731 homes sold, a 32% change from this time last year. New Addison Texas Real Estate listings changed -20% for the same period last year with 115 homes listed this month. So far this year, overall home listings underwent a 7% change with 2,220 homes listed. Current listings pending sale this month underwent a change of -11%, with 93 homes contracted. "Will Your Seller Accept a Contingent Offer?" Any offer is better than no offer, right? Not necessarily. A buyer's agent recently asked if my seller would consider an offer contigent on the sale of her client's current home. Before I could present the question to my seller, I had to find out some information: Is the buyer's home currently listed for sale in MLS? Is there an offer on that house? Has the option period expired? What kind of financing does the buyer of that home have? When is the house scheduled to close? I got the answers and talked to my seller. Since the house of the buyer was not yet listed (it would be on the market in 1-2 weeks), we replied that we would accept a contingent offer only after that house was under contract and out of the option period. So far this year, overall home sales were at 1,467 homes sold, a 34% change from this time last year. New Addison Texas Real Estate listings changed 19% for the same period last year with 153 homes listed this month. Turn! Turn! Turn! To Everything There is a Season In Addison, the leaves are turning colors and falling to earth. This autumn has been quite spectacular. The reds seem redder, the yellows more yellow, and oranges, orangier this year. I took the photo above on Beltway Drive, in front of the Hampton Inn.   These trees are on Ledgemont Lane, near the Valley of Bent Tree Condos. Both photos were taken on November 20, 2013 when the temperature was in the 60s. Now, just a few days later, the trees are not quite as leafy nor as colorful due to the cold, the wet, and the wind.

Addison Pacesetters Enjoy Early Thanksgiving Dinner. If you're 50+ years young in Addison, Texas and if you belong to the Addison Athletic Club (one time $10 fee for all Addison residents), you're eligible to join the Pacesetters. On November 14, 2013, the Pacesetters gathered at the Addison Visitors Center to celebrate Thanksgiving. The turkey, ham, and non-alcoholic beverages were provided by the town, and each Pacesetter brought a side dish, vegetable or desert. A slide show of photos from various Pacesetter events and activities was projected on a large screen and there was musical entertainment. Too Much Zip in Addison, Texas? When it comes to zip codes, Addison has too many (and that's my opinion).  The west side of Addison is in the 75001 zip code and the east side is 75254. It wouldn't be so much of a problem, but most of 75254 is within the city of Dallas. And the mailing addresses for everyone in that zip code? Dallas. It gets confusing. You can live in Addison and have a Dallas mailing address. You can own a business in Addison and have a Dallas mailing address.
