The Linear Trail in Northeast Tennessee is a delightful 8 mile round trip walking and biking trail in Northeast Tennessee.  It is one of my favorites and I have ignored it this past year when Johnson City opened up their new Tweetsie Trail, which is also quite nice, plus closer to home! Buffalo Pinnacle Trail in Unicoi Tennessee is a great 4.8  uphill trail to the fire tower.  Plan at least 4-5 hours to hike this trail, it is a steady uphill trek. I have hiked up to the tower one time, and it was beautiful.  We decided to hike Buffalo Pinnacle Trail late afternoon Friday and did not plan it well.  The weather was cold, windy and the higher we went, the deeper the snow.  (I had my running shoes on, like I said, didn't plan this.)  We did not make it to the top, but enjoyed the time we had.  I filmed most of it, I hope you enjoy the video.  We will go back, when we are more prepared!
