Each and every property owner would like to get the best possible price when selling their Anderson SC home. This is completely logical and reasonable but what can you do to get the most money for your house? Here's two steps for making sure that you get the best price for your Anderson SC home: 1. Do NOT Overprice Your Home! Let’s look at how to correctly price a home. Many owners believe that listing their properties higher gives them room for negotiation. Actually, this decreases the number of potential buyers that wil see your home! Check out this chart showing how over pricing decreases the visibility of your home:  Rather than looking for that one buyer that is willing to over pay, it makes more sense to maximize the demand for your home.  Is owning a newer home cheaper than owning an older home if you consider the maintenance costs? Certainly something that anyone looking to buy a house should consider. A recent study from the National Association of Home Builders looked at this very questions: NAHB said that that homes built before 1960 have average maintenance costs of $564 a year, while a home built after 2008 averages only $241. This does make newer homes seem to be more attractive than older homes. On the other hand, since the NAHB is an organization of home builders, did you really expect them to say that old was as good as brand new? Almost like asking a salesperson at the NEW car dealership if you should buy a new car or find an older used car somewhere else… But you know that some newer homes will be more energ...

Are you curious about how to find out how much home you can afford? I get many inquiries from people looking at my listings and often they ask the same types of questions. Questions regarding what the monthly payments will be for the home they are interested in, how much they need to put down for a certain home. What you can afford depends on your income, credit rating, current monthly expenses, down payment and the interest rate. It is best to visit a lender to find out for sure what is possible for you!  If you are just getting to this step, there is no reason for us to...
