Will you approve a $350,000 bond referendum for the city of Tega Cay to spend more money? Your opinion does not matter. You don’t get to vote. Tega Cay City council passed 4 to 1 last Monday the first reading of a motion to issue a $350,000 bond package to pay for golf course and community center improvements. The money is also for the creation of a city storm water utility department. Read the rest of the story at homesfortmill.com

I’ve had several request to share what our current real estate market condition is compared to last year. Many of you are considering options of whether this is the best time to sell or buy a home, some had questions as to what the list price to sold ratio is this year vs. last year, and many had just general questions about real estate as it applies to us. Below is a snapshot of the Tega Cay SOLD Market for January and February 2007 compared to the same time frame for 2008, as well as a breakout of Lake Shore SOLD activity. If you would like specific information as it applies to your home and the appreciation value from when you purchased it compared to similar properties sold since that purchase date please contact me. Get ready for a traffic change on highway 160. I reported at the beginning of the month the Tega Cay Wal-Mart will open March 17th. I went to the new Wal-Mart site today and caught the employees (sorry associates) coming back from a lunch break. I asked several associates when will the store open. All associates answered the same, Friday March 7th. Click to read the rest of the story

Mad residents have been fighting the Tega Cay, SC city hall to move a dog park that was built near their homes. 14 months later it looked like the city was going to relocate the park. The city found a new site for the dog park and a developer that is willing to pay to move it. So things are going great for the homeowners that want the park moved right? The Tega Cay city council decided Momday to build the dog park in the new lcation but they may not close down the old park. Why? See the rest of the story and a long comment from one of the homeowners near the dog park.http://homesfortmill.com/tega-cay-news/does-tega-cay-need-2-dog-parks/http://homesfortmill.com/tega-cay-news/does-tega-cay-need-2-dog-parks/#comment-88

There is much uncertainty in everyones mind as to the value of our homes today. Much of the information and reports I’ve been reading state a slow and steady growth of resale sales. There will be more inventory and buyers are slower to make decisions. Gone are the days of multiple offers and quick listings. To read more visit my post in my website blog
