Horry County has contracted with the State to continue to sell State Park Passes and is offering them to local residents at a discounted price. The discounted park passes will be sold only at the Surfside Beach Library or the Socastee Library. The passes, which are valid for one-year, cost $50 if purchased at a state park, but Horry County will continue to sell them to County residents at a discount. Effective July 1, 2009 the discounted price increased to $40.00. Residents must show some form of residency like a tax bill, driver's license, voter registration card, etc. Each family may receive up to two passes a year. I'm new to the business but I saw a good sign yesterday. For the first time since I started watching the new listings I noticed there was actually more sold listings than new it was only 2 and it did not last but I think it is a good sign. I'm very optimistic!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy, safe Halloween!  If you're going to a party, take pictures so I won't feel like the only one who was ridiculous.  Of course be safe and don't drink and drive; there are way too many precious little ones out on the streets all hopped up on candy and looking for the nearest doorbell not watching for cars.  P.S. She loves it.  This picture is from my first Halloween with Kahlua (I adopted her in April of 2005 when she was about 3).  I love pumpkins so I couldn't help it.  Happy Halloween!  This picture more recent.  She doesn't look like a scared pound puppy anymore; she's still a cute pumpkin too.
