To do an Open House or Not to do an Open House? That is the question. Sometimes it seems like a wasted effort to go to the trouble of putting out signs,scheduling in a whole work day or half at least and sitting at a house.  I have done many Open houses for the Public and it is hit or miss and it hardly ever sells the house. But I can get to know the neighbors, build relationships and maybe meet a new buyer or seller client.But the Agent Open Houses, are well worth the effort for more than one reason. SO I go the distance and prepare a menu, get a gift card or somethingfor a give away. If the sellers are motivated and the property is priced---wellthat Open house can help sell that home! If not I make my seller clients happy, I get to hear from other agents what might help sell the home ...

Pending is a great word, closed is better but pending is good. In January, I encouraged my client to get a jump start and to list his home before springwhen we would have more competition... and he did list on January 16th. The Marsh, the Creek, the Swamp, The Inlet, whatever you call it ....call it peaceful.  When I first moved to this area I looked at a home on the marsh.I remember saying, why on earth would anyone want to live near the creek? As I have expereinced the area more and more the marsh has grown on me. It does give you green natural space and can be not only pretty but amazing and beautiful. Now it  is one of my favorite places. It changes with the seasons, it brings a variety of birds that brings a whole new dimention to my little world. It is calm and safer than the ocean or the river. You can canoe, kayak, fish swim, boat and so much more!
