Today, as Baby Boomers enter their 50s and 60s, they are healthier, more active and more engaged in their lives and their communities than any previous generation. They want more. They demand more. When it comes to deciding how, when and where they will live, and where they will spend their money and their time, Boomers are very educated and know what they want. There is a growing recognition that working out and staying active is very important, and that access to a high quality fitness center is a necessity, rather than a luxury.  Many active adult communities now frequently feature walking and biking trails. Homesite landscaping is desirable and attractive, but must be managed and maintained by professionals, freeing up valuable personal time. This is personal time that Active Adults ...

In today's market, what can you do to stand out from the crowd and make your offer irresistible to a seller? The biggest fears many sellers have today stem from the media circus surrounding the real estate market. Specifically, sellers are worried that:1. My property will sit unsold for months and months.2. A reasonable offer becomes irresistible when combined with the promise of easy financing and a quick close. Notice that I did not use the words "lowball offer." Your offer must be fair and reasonable. If it is, the single most important thing you can do is to show the seller that you have already been pre-approved by a lender to buy the se...

On Thursday, June 21, 2007, I attended the initial meeting of homeowners for The Boardwalk on the Waterway.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss adding homeowners to the board, as well as the current progress of the community.  (And yes, I AM a property owner!)According to the project's construction manager, the boardwalk itself is scheduled to be completed within 6 weeks.  The roads should begin being paved in approximately 3 weeks.  The guard house is nearly complete, and the entrance is coming along nicely.  (See latest photos at http://carolinawaterfront.net/boardwalk/)Many exciting things are happening with this community, and we look forward to seeing the finished product.  If you'd like to receive updates on the progress of the community, or any up and coming communities, p...

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to drop a quick note about Myrtle Beach's soon to be Hard Rock Theme Park. I took the free backstage tour the other day with some fellow Realtors and had a blast! The park is now under construction with a May 2008 projected opening date. You can even buy commenerative tickets now for $49-46.The Hard Rock Theme Park is going to be a 140 acre park with music, more than 40 attractions, a multi-purpose live music amphitheater, shows, 4-5 roller coasters, children's water play areas, restaurants, cafes and retail stores.  It is going to be awesome! Just taking the tour through their building was fun.  It only takes about 15-20 minutes to see everything currently on display but you'll want to hang out longer especially since it's free and air conditioned...They have ...
