MS Dewey 136 Winter Break 2013/ Tropical Rainforest (El Yunque) Puerto Rico   Every year, my husband, who heads Middle School Dewey 136 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, takes a group of extra-lucky students and a handful of teachers on an expense-paid trip to a historic, fun-filled and educational locale for the purpose of furthering their studies. On a recent trip to Puerto Rico (ok, tiny white lie, I'm still here!) we were thrilled to discover we had a room overlooking a private preserve...which was on the sunset side of the resort, and therefore, offered more afternoon sun. We had noticed the home made fence line, as though no one was to go past it, which seemed interesting, and the iguanas, some of which can be 4 feet long...so we were totally digging it..
