AWSOM, the new Animal Welfare Society of Monroe, has flocked Keller Williams! What does that mean? We have to raise $250 for this great cause, so the cute pink flamingos can keep flying around Monroe County! We can't let them sit! It raises awareness for this new group, which is going to be moving into the old SPCA shelter in Stroudsburg. The planned opening date is Halloween!  It is a no kill shelter, and they will rely on donations and foster families to help care for the poor animals who are left behind, found or need a home for any number of unfortunate reasons. If you'd like to donate, please stop by Keller Williams today at 637 Main Street...you can't miss all the flamingos around! Or you can contact the AWSOM shelter at www.awsomanimals.org, for more information on donations or v...

For anyone who has had to use a Hospice Service you know how wonderful (or not so wonderful) they can be.   This past week I spent many long hours in a Hospice Center that I have to let people know about.  For those who don't know what Hospice is, it is a specialized care for the terminally ill in their final hours or days.   My father in law was diagnosed with liver cancer last year and actually over the past year did very well considering what a terrible disease that is.   Last week we went to visit my inlaws because it was my mother in law's birthday and had a nice visit although we could see my father in law Michael was starting to deteriorate.  He was weak, didn't want to eat and wasn't talking much.  I suggested to my mother in law that maybe it was time for a nurse.  The followin...

A great, fairly new addition to the downtown Stroudsburg area is Venuto's Old World Pizzeria. The feature great thin crust pizza in a variety of styles and they are named after some great Italian artists. The pizza and calzones are a work of art themselves. I had a made to order calzone that was so huge I couldn't believe my eyes! My wife had a pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella and basil and it was delicious. It is roomy inside and a very nice staff serves you. I highly recommend you take the entire family out to downtown Stroudsburg and enjoy something far from just ordinary pizza.

MTV is filming a performance Thursday night at our very own Sherman Theatre, located on Main Street in Stroudsburg. The performance is from hip-hop emcee, Asher Roth.  The doors open at 7pm, and the show starts a 8. There have already been 800 tickets sold!!! The theater's executive director, Rich Berkowitz, collaborated with East Stroudsburg University to produce this big-ticket show.  A promotions class at the college is in charge of putting on the show, and Mr. Berkowitz allowed them to use the venue to show the class what it takes to put on a real-life concert. Because the show is a mile or two off campus, there will be bus service from the Dansbury Commons area of the school to the theater starting at 6 p.m.

Our daughter Emily will be 13 years old on Tuesday so we had a Birthday party for her last night with some family & friends...I wanted a special cake for her special birthday so I searched the internet for specialty cakes (like the ones I see on TV)...                                           I love Pizza & when I was a kid living in Philly we had Santucci's Pizza across the street and they had some of the best pizza I had ever tasted!! I miss being able to run over & pick up a Philly Cheesesteak that would leak out of the bag by the time I got back home... (but that is whole other story)  We just got back from eating at Venuto's Old World Pizza on Main Street in Stroudsburg, Pa.... This place has been open for the last few months but we have never had time to run in & see what they had to offer...well I have waited TOO LONG!! Great Pizza with many choices & just the way they made it years ago..I guess that would make sence since the name is Old World Pizza!! They have Signature Pies named The Michelango, Giotte, Leonardo, Bellini, R...

Everyone is meeting people, blogging & talking about Real Estate all the time but are we doing it in the way that would bring us more business or is it costing us business???              SO....Who is The Bad News Realtor??          Well hopefully, not you!!  They are the Realtors that all they do is talk about how the market stinks, nothing is moving, prices are falling, nobody is buying, it is the slow time of year, negative, negative, negative.... They go negative on their blogs, websites, emails, listing appointments & will tell who ever will listen to them...  (but who really wants to listen to that).... Who wants to work with a depressed, negative Bad News Realtor?? My husband has been on multiple listing appointments where the previous Realtors have been so negative & down at the...
