Just to show you the scale of this show and the people who attended it, here are some celebrities and views of the crowds. You could barely move around nonetheless take pictures without people in the picture in most instances. Below is one of the most famous stars that came saturday; "The car crazy guy". The reason most people showed up on Saturday was due to the fact that the showcars were only on display for that one day. btw: keep in mind that i optimized the original pictures by 40% which was after canvas size reduction. So sorry if there's any pixelation.         All photography is  © VkDesigns LLC. 2005-2008

Today's car show was in my estimation and everyone elses perhaps the best ever at Hershey. This car show is already considered the best in the world based on the quality of cars that go there. It's obvious that th'ats true as there were more foreigners than americans quite possibly. no joke. The Dutch, French and English especially came in droves to see this years event. The weather for this was absolutely phenomenal and part of the reason why this years show was the best ever. Not 1 cloud in the sky and mid 70 degree temps all day. The lighting couldn't have been better from a photographers point of view (mine).  Without further ado i show you this years pictures in somewhat chronological order as to how i saw it. After the 5 part series, i will be adding an additional 1000 or so pict...

New hotel planned in Hershey market You can view this Central PA Business News article featuring one of our great agents here.  Article By David Dagan9/8/2008 A new hotel near Hershey will add about 90 rooms to a market that is falling far short of meeting visitors' demand, York County developer David Hogg said.Hogg's company, Springwood Hospitality, is developing the Country Inn and Suites at the corner of Grandview Road and Route 39 in South Hanover Township. The two-mile radius around Hersheypark is difficult for hoteliers to break into because land is scarce and the municipal-approval process is daunting, Hogg said."When people stay to visit the park or even (Hershey Medical Center), they like a short drive," Hogg said. There may be plenty of hotels farther away from those sites, he...

What a beautiful morning here in Hershey!  The sun is out, the market is sloooooowly getting better and business is actually happening.  We've had a little "stall" here this summer---don't we always in July though?--but I can see signs the future is looking bright! First, buyers are actually ready to buy.  The rates have been slowly increasing and I think they've finally gotten the message that NOW is the time.  I've got clients that are almost in "panic" that they won't find their dream home by the end of this year to take advantage of fed programs aimed at increasing the housing market.  Sellers are REASONABLE about the value of their home!  Now, admitedly we all know central PA did not have the horrific drop as other parts of our  nation--Michigan, Ohio, Arizona, CA just to name a fe...

Well, it's finally here: my first blog.  I've been thinking about this for months, and here I am.  I feel like it's the first day of kindergarten and am wondering who will be there?  What will I say to them?  Will they like me?  Although that seems pretty deep for a 5year old, trust me, I really was like that.  I have vivid memories of screaming my head off not wanting to venture into the "unknown" without my support (Mom).  After the 100th day though, I was fine, I'm still not sure what all the worry was about?I must say it's odd writing without knowing who will be evaluating you but knowing without a doubt, I will be evaluated.  But, unlike 30plus years ago, it's OK.  Now I'm confident of who I am and look forward to meeting new people, growing my network and continuous learning. I th...

It's October 29 and hockey season is already 3 weeks old. I guess the warm temperatures don't matter to true hockey fans.Central Pennsylvania has it's own hockey tradition, the Hershey Bears have been a part of the American Hockey League since 1936 and have earned eight Calder Cup trophies in the last 70 years, including the 2005-2006 season. They play now in the new Giant Center, but played for almost 70 years in the venerable HersheyPark Arena built in 1936. That has been the site of lot of memories, including Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point performance for the Philadelphia Warriors back in the 60's. While the place seated about 7500 or 8000 for basketball, hundreds of thousands of locals claim they were there that night.Oh, the title above? Originally the team was named the B'ars (Hersh...

Every autumn, people from all over the globe flock to a world-class event held within an hour of Lancaster County!  Fall Hershey is one of the largest antique automobile shows in the world, and the grandfather of all the other shows.  The photograph below is just one section of one of the fields - you have to actually be there to appreciate the vast size of this event. The Antique Automobile Club of America, or AACA, is the sponsor of the meet.  The AACA has been in existence since 1935, when it was formed for the appreciation and preservation of pioneering era automobiles. Above, an auction is being held in the Giant Arena.  Jaguars, Corvettes, and Ferraris were among the high-end cars on the auction block. A hand-crafted hearse was on display waiting for the judges in the commercial v...

Yesterday I wrote about some of the really good local restaurants that we have patronized right here in Hershey. All are locally owned and operated and I'm using this to bring some more to your attention:Demarco's is located at 202 West Chocolate Avenue. With a name like Demarco's you know they specialize in Italian favorites and they are open for dinner Monday thru Saturday.Dimitri's Restaurant and Lounge is located at 1311 East Chocolate Avenue here in Hershey. Dimitri's specializes in Greek cuisine and has a booming lounge business after dinner hours.Lucy's Cafeis located at 267 West Chocolate Avenue and is open for dinner Monday thru Saturday. Lucy's also specializes in Italian Cuisine.Duke's of Hersheyis located at 1715 East Chocolate Avenue about a block before the Lebanon County ...
