The Sad Truth Today’s pets are extremely domesticated. They are completely dependant on us for their survival. And we depend on them for companionship, unconditional love and acceptance. We value them as a member of the family and we trust them to act appropriately around our loved ones. But the sad truth is that without us, they are helpless. Abandoned foreclosure pets cannot survive on their own. Most of them cannot find enough food by themselves and will starve to death. Others, depending on which part of the country they live in, are not equipped to deal with outdoor climates and will perish due to heat exhaustion or extreme cold.
