For some reason our phones in the office went down . We had a rain storm with high winds Was this reason ? We do not know but the phones have been out . I am grateful for the communication from all the support staff we have . They are doing their best in handling the situation. .  They let all the agents know so if we wanted to work from home  it would be more productive. Appointments would be made on line as that is the way the MLS is set up  . If necessary the girls would use their cell phones . They also wanted us to be aware in case agents needed us to set up appointments . There are still agents who set up appointments by phone . The phones have been out all weekend .   Let's Get Personal  for the October challenge Brian England  asked us to tell something of ourselves . Here are my personal friendships that are very important to me . . They are friendships that I have kept since I was four years old  . We played army, built forts won and lost battles and wars with them . No one could bully me they would protect me .. The three of us went to kindergarten together .Here we met other children from other neighborhoods  .    I was reading an article today in the La Times by Sam Dean . Yes there are days that this Philly woman does read the LA times. and much to my surprise I read that Google is planning on shutting down their social network platform Google +. Apparently there was a privacy breach back in March allowing third party apps to access personal  information . They fixed it and it was right around the time Facebook had their problems .  The company cited two major factors in its decision to end the service: its small and unengaged user base, and a newly announced privacy lapse affecting up to 500,000 users.   This is my very favorite Banana bread recipe.. I purchased my overripe bananas at Lou's Farmer's Market . They sold the 4 pounds for a $1. I have enough to make two breads . The bananas have to be over ripe or the banana bread just does not taste it's best .  The more ripe the bananas the better tasting the bread . I Use a half a cup of chopped walnuts  you can also use pecans to the video recipe and if I have them I do add some raisins . One was by Tammy Emineth she is one of my favorite bloggers on SEO. She explains it in a way I understand . No bull she tells it plain and simple.  I always learn so much from her posts.  I was late and the Birthday girl was even later . I was greeted by the Mayor of Bensalem Joseph Digirolamo . It was so nice to see him and the hug was worth waiting for Birthday girl Bobbie . She arrived a few minutes later and was disappointed she had missed Joe . We sat down to order from the lunch menu There was such a unique selection it took some time to decide . We had a great lunch and wonderful service .  Last week I was meeting my cousin Aaron for dinner . We could not figure out we we wanted to go to eat . He met me at my office . We did not want anything expensive or fancy . Just something casual where we could have a friendly atmosphere and catch up on life .  I must say Feasterville has many places to eat . It was a very hot day in the nineties we were hungry but not starving .   The other day I received a call from an agent asking for an appointment to see one of my listings .  I informed him all appointments are made through the office .  He said he was sitting in front of the property with his clients and thought perhaps he could schedule through me . I gave him the office number and told him to call the office.  A few minutes later he called back telling me the office would not give him an appointment  as they could not find his name in the  directory . I thought about this and asked t him if he was a member of the MLS   "He said No " I asked if he was a member of Trend  .  "He said No "  I  asked how he found the listing as there was not a sign per the sellers request . Sellers please be advised that it is best to have the air conditioner on in a heat wave for yourself as well as a  potential buyer.    Perhaps leave a note on the counter that there is some cold  bottled water in the refrigerator or leave a few bottles out .    I received a recruiting phone call from an agent . He was calling for a broker   This broker was calling me every year . Personally I really do not know why this broker was calling me . I very politely thanked this broker for their interest in me but told them I had no desire to leave my current brokerage and would appreciate the calls stopping .   I explained I was very happy where I am   They started to say how they would be giving me leads and I could make more money . I stopped the conversation right there and said look I do not want to be rude but I have no interest in joining your company.  The calls had stopped for a few years .
