Listings in Bucks County are selling!  Homes in the 100's and 200's are selling quickly.  Pricing in this range seems to be about the same or a little lower than a year ago. Homes in the 300's are selling now, but current pricing is down more than 10% in some areas in Bucks County from 2006 levels. Homes in the 400's and above are still taking a while to sell.  days on the market are longer than in years past.  Price reductions are common. As a buyer, Inventory levels are now lower then in the spring, and those that are available for sale are being shown more often.  There is a sence that the market is changing again.  Things are selling.  Mortgages, although at a higher level then in the Spring, are still low.  Home prices are down for the most part.  Now is a great time to buy a home.... 08/15/2008

I was running in between a meeting and an appointment today and needed something in my stomach.  I was hungry.  I stopped in FIVE GUYS Burgers and Fries, located in the Cross Keys Place shopping Center in Doylestown. I had never eaten in a FIVE GUYS before but I was really impressed with the food. Their menu is not large but they have Burgers made out of fresh ground beef(never frozen), Hot dogs, Fries (either Five Guys Style or Cajun) and soft drinks or bottled water.  I ordered a cheesburger (actually their chesseburger is a double burger) with mushrooms on a toasted roll , a regular fries (they even give you an extra scoop of fries which are cooked in no cholesterol tasty peanut oil,) and I had a regular size drink.  There was more than enough to eat. Chestnut Grove Condos are locted in Doylestown township . They are within walking distance of the train station, YMCA, Doylestoen Hospital and Delaware Vaalley College. The area is beautiful with lots of trees and nice lawn in the development. There are first floor units as well as second floor units and a few have a garage. Well they just opened a new Chick Fil-A here in Quakertown this week.  What great marketing they have.  They were giving away a free chicken sandwich a week for a year for the first 100 customers.!  People were actually camping out. Someone dropped off free coupons to the restaurant at our office, so I was there last night checking out the scene.  I was 25th in line at the drive through!  at 9:15 pm!  WOW.!  While in line, my cell phone rang!  It was a Chicago number.  I am in Bucks County PA, but I answered it anyway The caller Googled Realtors in Bucks County PA.  Since I am ranked #1 in the county and #3 in all of Pennsylvania, this caller decided to choose me. When I hit 100K points, I wrote a post with lots of graphics in advance.  I just waited to post it until I actually hit the mark. Now, just ten months after joining Active Rain, I have 200,000 points.  But it is not about the points!  Right? It is really about the recognition.  It is really about the additional business we get as a result of our constant activity here on Active Rain.  It is really about the fact that I show up consistantly on the front page of a google search in my area.  It is about the fact that buyers shop for Realtors as well as properties on line.  They know all about me before we have even met.
